#Volga Manor Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
I would like to call it the 'Northeast Russian Disney' dreamy fairy tale town
I, this little potato from the south, finally made a brave trip to Harbin~
😂Minus 20 degrees Celsius is really not too sour and cool~
❄️Ice and Snow World really has too many people, if you like to take pictures and play in the snow, and don't want to be crowded, then I suggest choosing this 'Little Disney', inside are colorful and beautifully shaped Russian buildings, you can also play on the big slide and sled, the key is that there are few people here, I would like to call it the 'Northeast Russian Disney'😃
-
📍Volga Manor
25 kilometers away from Harbin city, on the bank of Ash River, is a park with Russian culture as the theme, more than 30 🌈colorful castles, covered with thick white snow in winter, just like a fairy tale world, 📸taking pictures is too good-looking.
-
🏂Amusement projects
Castle big slide, horse-drawn plow, snow spinning, sled train... It is recommended to go in the morning, go straight to the Petrov Art Palace to play on the big slide, basically no queue.

2⃣There is a shuttle bus to and from Central Street at the entrance of the scenic area, 35r/person, the latest departure at 17:00.

The winter Volga Manor satisfies all the fantasies of the southerners
It's really too beautiful!! And too cold!!
Volga Manor is about 40-50 kilometers away from Harbin city, about an hour's drive. The play time is about 3-5 hours.
When it's cold here, there's a slight freezing feeling in your nose.
Eyelashes will also turn white.
But this does not affect the beauty here, Russian architecture is very beautiful, the snow scene is also very beautiful, super photogenic!
Experience the magic like a Princess 👑

Harbin Volga Manor is a must-go place during your trip to Harbin in the winter.
The Volga Manor, a Russian culture-themed park, turned into an ice and snow world during the Spring Festival, attracting lots of visitors. It perfectly combines culture, architecture and natural scenery. There are more than 30 delicate Russian-style buildings in Volga Manor.
With its breathtaking surroundings, beautiful castles, a river, and a timber bridge it's the perfect place to walk around and get some fresh air while enjoying the exotic Russian culture and fashionable customs.

Russian manor near Harbin
Volga manor is a restored Russian style village about 40min drive from downtown Harbin. To get there I recommend taking a taxi (50ish rmb) then you can take a bus back to the city at 5pm when the park closes (20rmb). The entrance ticket is 120rmb for adults.
It’s beautiful in the winter with great scenery and sledding/slides. Also has an vodka museum and Russian restaurant onsite, the former which is worth a visit but the food at the latter isn’t very good.
Harbin: Volga Manor
Don’t forget to visit this amazing place! it’s a little far (approximately 1 hour drive from downtown) but it’s worth it. Dress warm!

Autumn Manor Volga
It is no secret that there are a lot of Russian things in Harbin: houses, food, etc. Therefore, it is no coincidence that this park was opened in Harbin. The best time to visit is autumn. At this time, the park is especially reminiscent of Russian nature: yellow trees, wooden houses, benches near the water and a bridge in which trees, houses and benches are reflected. This recreation center, where there is a hotel, a museum, shops with Russian souvenirs, a restaurant, a bathhouse. You can come for the whole day or spend the night. The most famous sights: Saint Nicholas Church, Pushkin Salon, Villa of Forest. It takes about 80 minutes from the city center.
Transport: take bus No. 377 branches to Volga Manor Station.

Volga Manor
A breathtaking site that is a must see on your Harbin “To Do List”
Volga Manor is a bit outside of the city, but nothing like a good bus ride to get you there for the day.
Getting There - We made use of Taobao app to book a online group. The bus picked us up in the city center and drove us to the area. We had time on our own to explore and met with the group later the day. Bus fees include the entrance fees as well.
Attractions - Plenty of old buildings that you can enter. I particularly enjoyed the inside of these buildings. One can observe the old Russian style housing. There is a beautiful church as well in the area. I’d recommend you to walk around in the snow and explore.
If you are into skiing you can do that too. It’s relatively cheap and duration is good. Don’t worry if you aren’t a pro yet. The slope isn’t that fast. So what are you waiting for. Go have fun.!
Hotels - I’d recommend booking hotels in the city center to allow you to see what you want during your stay.
Food & Restaurants - There is a underground restaurant in the Volga Manor area where you can drink some Vodka and eat something. Best would be to bring snacks for the day.

Richelle IG richelle_lambert Stunning Russian Architecture Park in Harbin
In January, I visited one of the coldest cities in
China, Harbin! This city is famous for the Harbin Ice
and Snow Festival but has many other hidden gems
to explore.
This pink house is located within Volga Manor which
is a Russian influenced attraction that has stunning
architecture to explore. Some of the highlight that
we saw there besides the beautiful buildings were
exploring a historic Vodka Museum and sliding down
an ice luge from the sixth story of a stunning place.
Woo!
I highly recommend visiting Volga Manor if you are
in Harbin! :)

#wintergetaway #merryxmas #holidayvacation Highlights at Volga Manor: Saint Nicholas Church - It is a beautiful wooden structure that sits on the other end of the happiness bridge. This orthodox cathedral was built in 1896 for Russian expatriates in Harbin. In 1966 the church was torn down, due to China and the Soviet Union not agreeing with each other. It was finally reconstructed in 1997.

Volga Manor - It’s a Chinese “park” with a Russian influence that covers an area of 600,000 square meters. The Volga River, which is a well known river in Russia, runs through the park... hence the name. It was built in 1899 and now has a hotel along with many attractions

Seeing each other in autumn, the age of autumn leaves is different. I loved the land covered with colorful autumn leaves, the long and deep road, the coolness of the wind, the tight coat, to enjoy the rhythm of the leaves dancing with the hair.
This is the first time I have seen Volga Manor. It seems to be the first time I met Harbin's fall, the autumn leaves filled with warm sun, the European-style buildings full of Russian style, and the mirrored manor. It is the original mark I left here!
[Volga Manor] The warm lodge in the three bear parks, together with the Russian aunts, draws a doll
as the name suggests, is a place for children and parents to play, in the summer at three bear parks A variety of parent-child activities, and in the winter, we are hiding in the house, visiting a group of craftsmen from other places.
Russian doll (Russian ) is a Russian wooden toy. It is usually composed of a plurality of hollow wooden dolls of the same pattern, up to more than ten. It is famous for its bright colors and exquisite patterns. According to legend, the Russian nation has two cousins who are adjacent to each other. The cousin grew up with his childhood. Later, his cousin went away from his hometown. Because he missed his cousin in his hometown, he made wooden dolls every year, and he made dolls bigger every year. A few years later, he returned to his hometown and gave the doll to his cousin, who later imitated the doll.
The warmth of the production workshop, the warm-toned furnishings and the elegant and kindly dolls, melted the chill of winter.
Located on the outskirts of Harbin City, Volga Manor covers an area of more than 600,000 square meters. It is a garden whose theme reflects the Russian culture. The Volga Manor has successively rebuilt many old Russian buildings in Harbin, such as the “Mini Ajur” restaurant in the shape of a sailboat on the Sun Island, and the “Fantagia” club. Some others are the Volga Hotel, the Pushkin Salon, and the Banya Bath Center. It showcases the classic Russian architecture.
Harbin
Of course, you must go!!!!!
1 We opted for a package that includes round-trip transportation and entrance tickets for 168 yuan per person, which comes with a free snowboard experience. Other activities require an additional fee, generally around 20-30 yuan per person, and meals are also not included. The staff will inform you about these options on the bus ride there, and whether you choose to eat or participate in any activities is completely voluntary. I recommend trying out the snow tubing (big slide) activity—it's incredibly thrilling and fun! Plus, there's no need to queue!!!!! The other experiences are just average. As for the time, I suggest spending 2-3 hours.
2 For those who love taking photos, you absolutely must not miss this!! Any random snapshot turns out great!!! This Guangdong native couldn't experience snow in the city these past few days, but coming here has completely fulfilled my longing for snow! Vast expanses of snow and beautiful snowy landscapes! It's truly gorgeous!
Volga Manor in Harbin has its own Disney!
🏰Volga Manor
In summer, it's a green courtyard; in winter, it's a snowy romantic fairy tale world❄️.
The garden is full of European-style castles and white birch forests, creating a snowy wonderland that makes you linger and forget to return. Wouldn't you want to experience such romance?
To date, only Volga Manor—a place that might just be a magnificent collection of Russian-style architecture in other seasons, but when the snow flurries, it becomes so dreamy that one only wants to roll in the snow.💐
It's especially suitable for people who like to take photos. The church⛪ and various other buildings inside are particularly beautiful and photogenic. You can ride horses in the garden, slide down slides, spin in snow tubes, 🐴horse-drawn sleds and other snow activities are available, and you can ask about the prices, which are not expensive. There are also Russian performances in the art gallery.
The manor is built entirely of wood🌲, constructed by interlocking wood joints. If you need souvenirs, you can buy them from the Russian goods store inside the manor; do not buy Russian goods near the train station, as they are hardly genuine.
⭐Attractions
🏰Castle Cross-Country Skiing
Explore the Russian-style castles and traverse the snow valleys to appreciate the rare sight of the ancient Jack sailboat
🏰Castle Snow Tubing
An exciting and thrilling experience; then take a horse-drawn sled to tour 'Poseidon Bay,' where the exotic winter scenery is stunningly beautiful

I never expected that the best fairy tale world to photograph in Harbin would be the Volga Manor
Stepping into the romantic Volga Manor, one can feel the beauty of winter's snowy embrace💕. Any casual snapshot here can blow up your social circle. Located on the beautiful Ash River bank in Heilongjiang, the manor is home to many European and Russian-style exotic buildings. Visitors can experience painting Russian matryoshka dolls🎨, castle snow tubing, horse-drawn sleighs, and even taste Russian cuisine, among other things. Friends visiting Harbin definitely shouldn't miss this place‼️
Harbin in March | We are really lucky~
Speaking of which, we are really lucky💫
Are you sure you don't want to check out this guide we chatted up with the Northeastern big brother?
🏡Accommodation: You must stay on Central Street (it's just too convenient)
🚗Day1: Shanhetun Iron Pot Stew - Central Street - Yunshang Bathing Center💆♀️
The first day is mainly about relaxation, the big brother recommended Galaxy World Bathing;
But after comprehensive consideration, we chose Yunshang for its better cost-performance ratio~
🚗Day2: Walk to Daoli Market - St. Sophia Cathedral - Old-fashioned Spicy Hot Pot - Volga Manor - Northeastern Cuisine on Central Street
📌Daoli Market has everything you need💃
I absolutely adore the dairy products there~
Roasted sausages, yogurt cakes, yogurt slices, beef buns...
📌Volga Manor🎫148:
The place is big but we didn't feel it was worth it
We went too late and some attractions were no longer available, and some required an additional fee
📸Those who like taking photos can go have a look
🚗Day3: Shopping at Daoli Market - Laochang Spring Rolls - Harbin Pharmaceutical Factory No.6 - Songhua River Bridge - Sorghum Red Iron Pot Stew
📌Harbin Pharmaceutical Factory No.6:
✅Opening hours: 9:00-16:00
Free, no reservation needed! Just show your ID card
Others are factories, it's a palace~ Prosperous✨✨
📌Songhua River Bridge: Recommended to go in the afternoon, the sunset is beautiful~
🚗Day4: Tianheng Mountain Ski Resort🏂 - Yunshang Bathing Center
Gourmet section:
Shanhetun is really a must-recommend!!
Laochang Spring Rolls are not recommended, you can try Northeastern BBQ
I must say, the Northeastern big brother is really enthusiastic👍
🔚Alright! That's the end of the Harbin guide, if you have any questions, ask me~
A great place to travel
I found a fairy tale world right in the city of Harbin! This beautiful fairy tale world is truly in Harbin! It is the Peace Village Hotel located on Zhongshan Road in Harbin. The buildings in the courtyard have a history of a hundred years. There are several historical buildings in the courtyard, and the most beautiful one is the mansion of the patriot and the director of the Municipal Administration of the Special District of the Eastern Province, Ma Zhongjun. It is a building in the style of an Italian medieval castle, built in 1914. The architectural style is full of fairy tale colors, mysterious and romantic, making it an excellent spot for taking photos and checking in.
Strategy for checking in: The Peace Village Hotel is located on Zhongshan Road in Nangang District, with very convenient transportation. You can take a bus from Harbin Station to get there, or take the subway line 2 to the Workers' Cultural Palace. Unfortunately, the Peace Village Hotel is currently under renovation, and the courtyard is not open to the public, so you can only take photos at the entrance on Zhongshan Road. From the entrance on Zhongshan Road, you can directly see this castle-style building (P1)
Volga Manor | Here, I captured my top 15 photos of the year
If you are a little potato from the south who has never seen heavy snow,
if you also have an extraordinary love for snow like I do,
then you must include Volga Manor in your Harbin travel itinerary.
You can really play inside for a whole day and have a blast.
【Transportation】
Volga Manor is a bit far from the downtown area of Harbin, and taking a taxi is not cheap. Fortunately, there is a shuttle bus you can take, which is located near the cable car. The round-trip cost is 35, and it is recommended to buy a shuttle bus + scenic area combo ticket for better value.
【Food & Drink】
In winter, there are almost no shops or food inside Volga Manor, so you must bring your own provisions. You can bring some bread or cold dishes (like cooked dishes), and carry a thermos filled with hot water to drink and keep warm.
【Fun & Games】
The winter Volga is covered with thick snow, and there are fewer recreational facilities inside. You can first take the free shuttle bus to the farthest inside, where the big slide and a snow tube rental are nearby, along with a very few small projects to play with.
But mainly, I went there to play with snow. You can find your own fun, build snowmen, have snowball fights, and walk from the inside out. Taking photos and strolling around is still super joyful.
The key point is that this place is really photogenic, and it can indeed make people who have never seen heavy snow have a great time.
Do visit Volga Manpr when you are visiting Harbin!! It’s visiting a Russian village without actually having to go Russia! Over here, there are plenty of scenic places to take pictures and videos! What’s more you guys should also attempt the Snow slide! It’s super fast and super fun! Remember to also try out the local Russian food! It’s tasty and worth every penny! #Volga #harbin
Volga Manor | This fairy tale world has fulfilled my fantasy of the North
After the heavy snow, Volga Manor is so dreamy that it feels like stepping into a fairy tale world
Over thirty Russian-style castles, easy to take pictures without people
Compared to the crowded St. Sophia Cathedral, taking pictures here as a Russian princess is the real deal.
🏰Volga Manor
Located on the banks of the Ash River on the outskirts of Harbin
Covers an area of more than 600,000 square meters
It is a cultural tourism area based on the history of Harbin and themed on Russian culture
It has more than thirty castles built on the prototype of Russian architecture
When the sun sets, the dreamy feeling is even stronger, fulfilling all my fantasies about the North.
Recommended check-in points:
1️⃣Petrov Art Palace
🔴The red Russian-style ancient castle, the core of the entire scenic area, a huge sailboat is located next to the Petrov Art Palace. Sitting in the carriage, heading towards the castle and the sailboat, it is like a fairy tale scene of the princess and prince returning home, you must experience it!
🟠The big slide included in the ticket is also here.
🟡Every side is good for taking pictures, there is a big snowman at the front door, you can take a photo together.
🟢You can visit inside, there are sculptures and paintings, similar to a museum.
2️⃣Tsaritsyno Castle
The door hole can take frame shots, there are also sculptures here, you can take pictures of the Petrov Art Palace through the bridge hole, very photogenic!
3️⃣Birch Forest
The 'Birch Forest' by Poplar is deeply rooted in people's hearts. The birch forest here is very quiet and has a strong atmosphere. (Another video was taken)
📌Location: Volga Manor
📍Address: 16 kilometers of Hacheng Highway, Chenggaozi Town, Xiangfang District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province
🎫Tickets: Buy 2 hours in advance for 148, buy on site for 168
⌚️Opening hours: 8:30~17:00
Come to Harbin, you must go to Volga Manor!
Volga Manor is a national 4A cultural tourism scenic spot with a Russian cultural theme. Every small building here is beautiful and exotic, with St. Nicholas Church, Petrov Art Palace, Pushkin Exhibition Hall, etc. However, some exhibition halls or restaurants are not open, but it's still very beautiful to take pictures outside!
The whole manor is very large, it's best to queue up for the big slide which is incredibly exciting, the queue is long, probably about an hour!
Other than that, just take pictures and stroll around the buildings inside, they are really beautiful!
After visiting various attractions in Harbin, I concluded: My limit outdoor activity time is one and a half to two hours!
There are some indoors in Volga Manor that you can enter, but the Ice and Snow World is really tough outside.
Ticket: Buy three hours in advance on the same day for 148 yuan, buy immediately for 168, student tickets have discounts.
Transportation: There is a round-trip bus from the city, but we set off at more than 12 noon, took a taxi for more than 60, and came back by bus for 20 yuan per person, to Central Street, one every 5 minutes, so convenient!
Eating: There is food in the park, but I heard it's average, we had lunch before we went, so I'm not sure about the specifics
In summer, it should be even more a place for photography, how beautiful the large grassland must be
Tips:
Warm dressing:
Upper body: A cashmere vest + a thermal underwear + sweater + down jacket.
Lower body: A pair of yoga pants + a pair of cotton pants + warm baby stickers on the front of the thigh (two pieces per leg) + a second pair of yoga pants, the role of the second pair of yoga pants is to keep the warm baby from falling off!
Every step is a scene, every ten steps is a painting, when the fog rises in the evening, it really feels like a fairy tale world!
The fairy tale world in winter, the romantic Volga Manor. Volga Manor
Harbin Travel Guide--Food Sharing
Accommodation: All attractions are in Daoli District, Daoli District is divided into Qunli District and Old Town, Daoli District: Qunli District is the best area in Harbin, with good environment, not crowded, all the food you want to eat is available, the price is the same, close to the Music Square and the big snowman, Daoli District: Old Town is also the Central Street area, too crowded, many people eat, not recommended, you can look at the map.
Attractions: Ice and Snow World, Big Snowman, Central Street and Sophia Church⛪️ are together, next to it is the struggle grocery store where locals go, Harbin red sausage, air-dried sausage are very delicious😋 all in Daoli District, so live in Qunli District, wherever you go by taxi is not far.
Volga Manor Picture 5️⃣: Russian🇷🇺 architecture, worth a visit, a taxi takes an hour, far from the city, very worth going.
Dining: These are basically chains,
There are in Daoli District and Qunli District:
Barbecue: 1️⃣166 Barbecue 2️⃣Xing's Old Lady 3️⃣Partial Face
Iron Pot Stew: 1️⃣Zhaotai Fu 2️⃣Shanhetun
Northeast Cuisine: 1️⃣Zhang Baopu Qunli Store (Century-old shop, very delicious) 2️⃣Fucheng Hou (Stewed fish specialty) 3️⃣Fat Sister Fishing Village 4️⃣Nine Turn Small Mill Prices are not expensive
Roast Meat: Any Qiqihar barbecue will do
If you want to go to Yabuli and Snow Town:
You can take the high-speed rail🚄 to Yabuli, and then charter a car, the price is appropriate, the food in the scenic area is definitely not as good as in Harbin city, very worth a visit.
Venturing into Harbin | Complete Guide to Eating, Playing, and Photography
🏨I chose to stay near the museum on Line 2, avoiding Central Street. It's convenient to take the subway or a taxi, and the bus to Volga Manor also uses Line 2.
🚗Taxis are much cheaper than in Shanghai, and chatting with the driver can bring surprises👀
⚠️Heated insoles are a must! If you sweat easily, remember to use antiperspirant, otherwise your feet will get colder when they're wet! Keep a few hand warmers, you can stick them on your phone, put them in your pocket or gloves, sticking them on your body is basically useless outdoors.
🧤Bring two pairs of gloves, thin ones can expose your fingertips for easy phone use, and thick ones can be worn on the outside. It's unbearable to expose your hands outdoors.
📷If you take a lot of photos, it's recommended to buy a capacitive pen, so you can touch the screen without taking off your gloves!
🛍️Gexin Underground Market: A huge underground market I stumbled upon, with a wide variety of food and a vegetable market, it's more enjoyable to stroll around than at Qiu Lin.
🍴Anjing Street, if you can't get up for the morning market, the night market here is also very good, with pot-sticker meat, chicken racks, and cheap strawberry specialty stores.
1⃣️Ice and Snow World❄️
I really admire the girls who wear very little, I definitely can't take off my down jacket, I changed my mind and bought a red cloak which is also good for photos, if you only queue for one thing, it must be Harbin Ice Show! If you're afraid of getting tired, you can rent a snow ring to sit on while queuing!! You can store your belongings before entering!
2⃣️Diamond Sea 🧊
📍Navigate to Beach Tribe! After getting off the bus, continue walking forward and turn left to enter, you don't need to buy a ticket at the entrance, it's free, it's recommended to go in the evening for better photos, I went in the morning and the light was a bit dazzling, and it was backlit😭You can hold a fox here, mine was really too fat, I almost thought it was a Samoyed😂
3⃣️Big Snowman⛄️
You need to navigate to the Music Corridor, I navigated wrong!! I went to a music park and felt something was wrong, I looked up and saw the real big snowman on the way back by taxi! It was too late to get off the bus! If you're not sure, you can ask the driver when you take a taxi!
4⃣️Songhua River Bridge🎡Ice and Snow Carnival
It's also suitable to come at sunset, watch the sunset and then go to the Ice and Snow Carnival, there are many things to play, the prices are also suitable, there are also package tickets, you can also see reindeer here
5⃣️ St. Alekseyev Church💒St. Sophia Cathedral⛪️
There are really a lot of people, be sure to look at the guide more and find a good shooting position, if you really can't shoot, you can go to the coffee shop on the second floor of the square to sit by the window and shoot, it's not cold! The popular clothing store "Yishanzhijia" is just opposite, the most practical is this big flower Northeast mask, even the temples are protected, no fog!
5⃣️Central Street🚋Baroque Style Street
There are too many people on Central Street, you can go to eat near Baroque Style Street
There are also ice roses on the road, the ice cream from Lao Dingfeng is more delicious than Madier popsicles
The Volga Manor in Harbin after the snow is a fairy tale castle
♥️♥️You can teleport to winter Russia without leaving Harbin. For those attracted by the Russian-style buildings in Harbin city, I strongly recommend a visit.🎈🎈

🌟Highlights:
1⃣️Pavlov Castle
Pavlov Castle is one of the most attractive buildings in the manor and the wedding venue that newcomers look forward to most. Pavlov Castle stands on the bank of the Volga River and was designed by the famous Russian designer F. F. Breen from 1795 to 1797. Pavlov Castle has experienced vicissitudes of life and is a famous ancient castle in Russian history. It has been used as a hospital, police station, prison and other places.
2⃣️St. Nicholas Cathedral
St. Nicholas Cathedral, commonly known as "Lama Terrace", is located five kilometers southeast of Chenggaozi Town, Xiangfang District, Harbin City. The replica building uses the same pure wooden structure as the original building, and the shape is a snowflake tower symbolizing Harbin's ice and snow culture. In order to realistically reproduce the style of St. Nicholas Church back then, the builder specially purchased the original design drawings from the Russian national meritorious architect Korajin, and invited the architect to come to Harbin to guide the replica project.
3⃣️Petrov Art Palace
The Petrov Art Palace is designed and built based on a monastery in Moscow, absorbing elements of many classic Russian buildings. The interior displays large murals originally created by the Repin Academy of Fine Arts, classic oil paintings and sculptures by many Russian painters, allowing people to swim in the hall of art and enjoy the beauty.
4⃣️Banya Bath
The three wooden structures by the river are the Russian bathhouses in the manor—Banya. Banya bathing first undergoes a high temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, then jumps into a cold water pool of about 10 degrees for soaking, supplemented by leaf beating and massaging the whole body. If it is in winter, you can directly rush to the snow, rub your body with snow, which can detoxify and beautify, enhance blood circulation, and give you a feeling of rebirth after repeated steaming and washing.
5⃣️Mermaid Restaurant
In the eastern part of the manor, there is a characteristic restaurant—Mermaid Restaurant. The Mermaid Restaurant is built based on the fishing restaurant in the Cross Island Scenic Area in the western part of St. Petersburg, Russia. It is a place frequented by Russian celebrities. According to the requirements of tourists, experienced chefs will smoke and charcoal grill fish in different ways. Its slogan is: "The most delicious fish is the one you catch yourself"!
