Wat Mahathat Laem Sak, Ao Luk, Krabi 🛕🙏🏻🌞
No matter how many times I come here, I never get bored. 🌈🍃🌷🛕
On a free day, I don't know what to do. Let's go to Wat Laem Sak, Ao Luek District, Krabi Province, or we should call it by its official name, "Wat Maharat Laem Sak", a temple that looks ordinary but is not ordinary at all. It is located on an area of 22 rai. It takes less than 40 minutes to drive from Krabi town. The road is convenient and not complicated. It is very easy to find. When you get to the temple, head straight to the 45-meter-high Phra Borommathat Laem Sak Chedi. It was built in 2010 and was completed on February 2, 2020 to pay homage to the relics enshrined in the chedi for good luck. The walk up is not very far, just a little out of breath. The stairs are not steep. Don't forget to take off your shoes.

Beauty of white temple in Krabi

Wat Mahathat Laem Sak is a lovely little temple that's worth a quick stop if you're in the area. The 50 baht entrance fee for foreigners is reasonable for what you get to see. The main attraction is the tall white chedi that stands out against the blue sky - it looks especially nice in the morning light.
What makes this place special is its location right by the water. There's a peaceful vibe here, with benches where you can sit and watch fishing boats go by. The temple grounds aren't huge, but they're well-kept with some interesting Buddha images and a small museum-like area showing old artifacts.
It's not as grand as some famous temples, but that's part of its charm - you'll likely have the place mostly to yourself. Combine it with other nearby attractions to make the trip worthwhile. Bring some small change for the entrance fee and maybe extra to donate if you want to light incense. A nice, low-key spiritual stop with pretty water views.
Good to know: The 50 baht fee helps with temple maintenance, and there are clean restrooms available. Perfect for a 30-40 minute visit when you want somewhere quiet to reflect.

Wat Mahathat Laem Sak, Krabi Province
A beautiful temple with a good atmosphere and a view of Krabi Bay. The temple is quiet. Walking upstairs, you will find a walkway in all 4 directions. It is very beautiful and has good dimensions. In the middle is a church with a beautiful Buddha image and beautiful architecture.
There is also a lower floor with a Naga statue for worship. It is considered a beautiful, unseen temple. No matter how many times you go, you are still very impressed.

The temple is quiet and peaceful. The highlight is the pagoda and the relics of the Lord Buddha inside the temple are very beautiful. There is also a place to pay homage to the Naga King and the golden Buddha statue on another floor. There is a point to go up and see the view from the top and there are walkways in all 4 directions that look very dimensional. This is a temple that you must not miss when visiting Krabi.

Wat Mahathat Laem Sak is a temple of the Dhammayuttika sect located in Laem Sak Subdistrict, Ao Luek District, Krabi Province. Wat Laem Sak is considered the center of Buddhists' minds. It enshrines a large white pagoda with beautiful architecture. The area is very large, you can walk around the pagoda. You can go up to see the view of Laem Sak from a high angle and see the vast sea. For those who love taking pictures, I recommend it because there are many photo spots. Most importantly, the view is very beautiful. The atmosphere inside the church is beautiful, with paintings telling stories and being very magical.

Another beautiful temple in Krabi Province, at the end of the road by the sea, spacious, quiet, peaceful, clean, worship the relics of the Lord Buddha on top, inside the white pagoda, modern architecture, stucco statues of Naga, detailed paintings, see the beautiful view of the sea and mountains. It is a temple that shows the coexistence of the Thai Muslim and Thai Buddhist communities. There is a place to stay overnight to practice Dhamma, a charity kitchen, and convenient parking. We invite tourists who are religious and those who practice Dhamma to visit.
