While staying in Sanya, we had definitely had our fill of local cuisine and one day we were simply craving something a bit different. So, we wandered over to the Wyndham Sanya Bay Hotel and grabbed at table within their Genoa Western Restaurant. This was a wonderfully casual and spacious restaurant, and we really enjoyed the calm ambiance that we got to witness (having eaten at an odd hour between the lunch and dinner time rushes!) What we ate: Beef Burger with Fries and Salad Fried Chicken and Vegetables Served with Rice Nasi Goreng (delicious!) All the food we ate was great; good quality and flavourful. Having experienced a really lovely lunch at the Wyndham Sanya Bay Hotel’s Genoa Western Restaurant, we decided to pay another visit to the hotel to check out the dinner buffet (because who doesn’t enjoy a buffet meal while on holiday at least once?). What we found was a feast for the eyes, and stomach, literally! There was absolutely everything you could ever crave ripe for the taking. We arrived just before the dinner service started, and watched as the chefs meticulously prepared the layout and finishing touches on each of the dishes and stations. What We Ate: Fresh Fruit Fresh Clams, Mussels and Shrimp BBQ’d (literally) Vegetables, Pineapple and Chicken Sushi Roast Meats And pretty much all of the desserts…because…why not? #asiatrip

They also have a huge kid’s club. There are two restaurants on property and at night they offer a seafood hot pot buffet! The resort has a very laid back vibe and it’s perfect for families. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Highlights - We got an ocean view room that had a spectacular view of Sanya Bay! My son loved the kid’s club and made several little friends while we were there. The seafood hot pot buffet was delicious! The lobby bar does a tea set that came with a bunch of beautiful finger foods and delicious passion fruit tea! We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff decorated our room for us! Avg. Price per Person - $89 per night (¥575) for a standard room. $110 per night (¥715) for an ocean view room.
