It's a natural oxygen bar. There are two routes to drive up the mountain from Ningbo's urban area: one from Fenghua via Xuedou Mountain, and the other via expressway from Yuyao, passing Siming Lake. Yangtian Lake at the mountaintop is a perfect spot for watching sunrises, sunsets, and seas of clouds. Shenhu Lake and Xiuhu Lake, with their lush greenery and crystal-clear waters, will instantly calm your mind. At night, you can admire a starry sky unseen in the city, and if you're lucky, you might even catch a shooting star. 'Yangtian Lake' is one of the commonly used place names in China, and four of them are included in Baidu Encyclopedia, one of which is Yangtian Lake in the depths of Yuyao's Siming Mountain. In fact, there are several Yangtian Lakes in the Ningbo area alone, but the Yangtian Lake in Siming Mountain is more famous and is a popular tourist destination. So, what kind of legends and beautiful scenery does it have? Let's unveil its mystery together. Yangtian Lake in Siming Mountain Town is located in the mountain nest next to the Libai Line and is now under the jurisdiction of Dashan Village. There are at least three ways to get to Yangtian Lake, namely the stone step path starting from the 'Yangtian Lake' bus stop sign, the cement road 50 meters east of the stop sign, and the mountain climbing path in the northeast of the money pine forest. The altitude of Yangtian Lake is 810 meters, but it is surrounded by mountains and does not feel towering at all. Instead, it is like a basin on a high mountain, and the lake area is the lowest place in this basin. It is said that Yangtian Lake existed in ancient times, and Liu Bowen, a founding hero of the Ming Dynasty, had been here and gave birth to a legend. The more popular saying about Yangtian Lake is that Liu Bowen was ordered to go south to find a shady place for Zhu Yuanzhang. When he arrived at Siming Mountain, he saw five mountain peaks enclosing a clear water, showing the momentum of five dragons fighting for a pearl, thinking it was the land of dragon veins, so he used a bamboo stick as a mark and returned to the capital to report. But when the craftsmen went up the mountain to work, they found that the place where Liu Bowen inserted the bamboo stick was full of bamboo, there was no lake water, and they did not find the dragon cave, so they were very disappointed, so they left the gold they brought in the low-lying area and then left. This dragon vein land was not developed, but the related historical legends have been passed down. According to this story, Yangtian Lake has already disappeared, so why has it appeared now? The correct answer is that it was re-excavated by later generations. So, this Yangtian Lake is not the land of dragon veins found by Liu Bowen in the legend, but an artificial lake. The Yangtian Lake in the legend was originally 'a clear water', but now it has become 'two clear pools'. They are about 200 meters apart from each other. The clear pool in the north is the main body, which may be the 'pearl' that the five dragons were fighting for in the legend. Many money pines grow around the lake. In the deep autumn, the colors are colorful and it is one of the beautiful autumn viewing spots. There is a small island in the heart of Yangtian Lake, and there is a hexagonal stone pavilion on the island. The island and the pavilion not only become the most beautiful scenery in Yangtian Lake, but also become a cool and scenic spot. You can take a leisurely rest in the pavilion, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery around you standing on the island. Connecting the island and the mainland is a stone bridge. This stone bridge is very distinctive. It is neither a stone arch bridge nor a flat bridge, but a wood-like shape. From the side, it looks like a big tree that has been uprooted. After crossing the bridge, there is a 'tree hole' at the head of the bridge. Tourists need to drill through the tree hole to reach the heart of the island. In addition to the small island, there are plank roads, viewing platforms, corridors, stone arch bridges and walking paths around Yangtian Lake. They are combined into a circular viewing line. You can walk, play and take pictures while walking. It takes about half an hour to walk around. The area of this lake is not large, but the scenery around it is very beautiful. Standing at different positions by the lake, you can enjoy different autumn colors. The east side of Yangtian Lake is high ground and slopes. There are two money pine forests here. In the golden autumn, the pine leaves turn yellow and the autumn leaves fall. The small road under the tree becomes a golden road, becoming another autumn viewing spot in Ningbo. Unfortunately, the leaves of these two money pine forests have almost fallen. From the walking path northwest of Yangtian Lake down the mountain, you can reach the Bailing Rock Water Curtain Cave through the valley; from the walking path northeast of Yangtian Lake down the mountain, you can also reach the Water Curtain Cave; walking along the Libai Line to the east, not far away is the 6944 scenic spot, from the Bi Lake in the scenic spot Going north, you can also reach the Water Curtain Cave. Is Yangtian Lake fun? In my personal opinion, it is more fun than cross pants and more suitable for travel. Because it is close to the side of the road, both private cars and buses can reach directly, without having to cross mountains and ridges.
