The Sunday roast was the star. The beef was tender, cooked just right, and the gravy had a proper depth of flavour. The vegan option was solid too, with a good nut roast. Could have done with a few more roast potatoes, but the ones they had were crispy and fluffy inside.

The owner's a real character, so welcoming. He suggested a local red to go with my steak - spot on. The wine list's small but thoughtful. A proper neighbourhood spot.

Great choice of premium beers on tap. The quality is there for the slightly higher price.

Nice spot right on the water. Grabbed a pint and played a few board games. The vibe is really relaxed, just what I needed.

cheap booze, can be quite busy and hard to find a table

Had the seafood stew again, it's always spot on. The harbour view from the window table is lovely. My only quibble is the wine list feels a bit limited for a place with such good food.

Unbelievable value for money for a bottomless brunch! The service from Victoria and Charlie was top-notch, making it a great choice for students looking to have a good time without breaking the bank.

Sunday evening was quiet, perfect for a quick drink. The £12 pizza and pint deal is solid. Bartender was efficient.

Sunday lunch here is a proper feed. The portions are huge, and you get a good selection of veg. Service was friendly and on the ball. A bit of a wait for the bill, but that’s a minor thing.

Been coming here for years. Food's always spot on, never had a bad meal. The place is clean and they keep it looking fresh after the refit. Staff are friendly and work hard. Good value for the area.

Lovely atmosphere for a relaxed evening. The lighting was just right, not too dim, and the background music was at a perfect volume for conversation. Really enjoyed the vibe here.

Been coming here for years, and that fireplace is the main reason. It's just the right kind of cozy on a cold night. You can grab a corner table, and it feels like your own little spot for the evening.

The quiz night was a blast! The host kept things moving and the questions were actually fun, not just random trivia. We didn't win bingo, but the whole vibe was so energetic. Definitely a solid spot for a laugh with mates.

Lovely Pub with excellent food and staff, we had a great time as a family here and would recommend it to anyone show appreciates English pubs in lovely settings

Nice spot for a quick lunch. Had the fish and chips, came out fast. Good portion, crispy batter. The fireplace is a nice touch, makes it feel cozy. Service was quick and friendly. Perfect for a midweek bite.

The carvery was a good choice for a busy day. The meats were cooked nicely, and the vegetables were fresh. It felt like a straightforward, comforting meal. The staff were friendly and kept things moving, which was appreciated.

A really comfortable spot. The staff were so friendly and attentive, which made the whole evening feel easy and relaxed. Just what I was after.

Cosy spot with the log burner going. The red wine lasagne was a proper portion for the price, really hearty. Sticky toffee pudding was good too. Felt like a decent meal for what I paid.

The Sunday roast was lovely. I really appreciated how fresh the vegetables were, and the chicken was cooked just right. A nice, wholesome meal for a quiet weekend.

Been here a few times over the years. The atmosphere is nice, especially when it's busy with students. Food's decent for the price.

Nice spot to unwind. Drinks are fairly priced for this neighbourhood, which is a plus. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming – just what you want after a long day. It’s always a pleasant, easy visit.

The smoked salmon tagliatelle was lovely, but the real star for me was the space itself. So light and airy, with these big windows and really comfortable chairs. Just a nice, relaxed spot for a meal.

The lamb shank was the star. Slow-cooked for hours, the meat just fell off the bone. The red wine sauce was rich and deep, with a hint of rosemary. It's a generous portion, too. Honestly, I'd come back just for that dish.

The pan-roasted chicken supreme was the main event. Skin was perfectly crisp, meat underneath stayed juicy. That caramel tart though... the pastry was a bit crumbly, but the filling had a deep, almost burnt sugar flavour that was really good.

The sticky toffee pudding is unreal. Seriously, the best. The steak pie was solid too.

Popped in for a pint and ended up staying for a few. The vibe is warm and cozy, exactly what you want from a local pub. The bartender had some solid tips on the area too. Good spot.

Lovely old building and a huge, well-kept beer garden. The separate kids' play area is a nice touch. My main takeaway is that the food felt a bit heavy for a summer lunch; I would have loved to see more fresh, light options on the menu.

Popped in for a quick bite with a couple of mates. The food was tasty and didn't break the bank, which is always a win. Our waitress was so lovely and chatty, really made the whole vibe feel more social. The garden looked cute, just a tad chilly for us to brave it!

Grabbed some bread from the farm shop, then tried the pub's homemade pie. Solid food for a casual stop.
