The flat white here is seriously good—smooth, not bitter at all. I came with two friends and we ended up staying way longer than planned just chatting. Baristas clearly know what they're doing. Only downside: it got pretty crowded by noon, so we had to squeeze around a tiny table. Still, worth it for that coffee ☕

The chicken wrap was decent, flavors were there but the chicken came out a bit dry. Not a dealbreaker though. Americano was fine, nothing fancy. Place was quiet enough for a quick lunch. I’d come back if I’m in the area and don’t feel like cooking.

The terrace right on the square is the big draw here. Coffee was solid and staff friendly enough. Just wish they'd tone down the pop music, got a bit much after a while.

Came for the lake view, stayed for the food 😄 We got a free limoncello and Raffaello at the end which was such a nice surprise. Honestly the pasta was solid, nothing crazy but good enough. Place got a bit busy later, but we still had a chill time. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Came for the chicken paprikash with dumplings — hit the spot. Portion was solid for the price. Just busy at lunch, so expect a bit of a wait.

Coffee was decent. Location's right in the middle of everything. Food's a bit overpriced for what you get though.

The lighting in here is really something—soft and warm, makes you want to linger. We ordered a few dishes to share, all solid, nothing fancy but tasty. Prices felt honest for what you got. Staff handed us English menus without even asking, which was a nice touch. Slightly busy when we left, but the vibe stayed relaxed.

The pastrami sandwich was juicy and well-seasoned, served hot. I liked the backyard setup with the plants too, though I wish the portions were a bit bigger.

The portions are generous and the flavors are on point. Place itself is pretty basic, but for the price it's totally fine.

The cherry liqueur was really tasty, though prices run higher than other spots in the city. Loved the ceiling design inside, gave the place a cozy feel.

Decent spot for a night out. The 90s music was fun and there's enough room to actually dance. Cocktails were pretty good, especially the ones that fit the retro Miami Vice vibe. Only thing is it got a bit crowded later, but that's kind of expected. Fine for what it is.

The ambiance of the restaurant is modern and stylish, making it a perfect spot for a cozy dinner. The service was excellent, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant experience.

Right by the Parliament, the interior really catches your eye. Had the Adana kebab and lahmacun—flavors were solid, reminded me of good spots in Istanbul. Price is a bit steep, but the setting makes up for it.

Stopped by for a late breakfast. Shakshuka was solid, rich sauce, eggs cooked right. The turmeric-ginger lemonade worked well with it. Place looks good, music was fine. Staff didn't keep me waiting. Fair for the price.

The tasting menu was solid. Each dish came out well composed, desserts were the highlight for me. Staff knew their wine pairings, answered a couple questions without being pushy. Service was efficient, which I appreciate. Not cheap, but you're paying for the precision. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

The house-made rillette is the reason to come here. Rich, fatty, pairs perfectly with their local wine selection. Owners clearly know their stuff.

No. 17 of Bars in Budapest

The food quality is impressive, especially the duck burger, which is rich in flavor and comes with crispy, well-seasoned fries. Definitely worth the slightly higher price!

The goulash was incredible—so rich and deep in flavor. Zeno and Noemi took our coats and checked on us just enough. Felt like a fancy spot without being stuffy.

The live music added a special touch to our dinner, making the evening even more enjoyable alongside the delicious and harmonious flavors of the food.

The staff spoke English and were super friendly. Pizza crust was spot on, ingredients tasted fresh. Solid spot for a cheap dinner.

The crust is what gets me. Light, airy, charred just right. Easily one of the better Neapolitan pies I've had in Budapest. That's really the whole story.

The pizza was decent, the sauce leaned a bit salty-sweet for me. QR code ordering made it easy, no fuss. Nice spot to watch the Christmas lights outside while you eat. Just mind the service charge that gets added automatically, caught me off guard. Comfortable enough to sit and take your time, though.

I had a fantastic time at this rooftop bar! The cocktails were excellent, and the staff, especially Akos and Noel, provided exceptional service that made our visit memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a night out in the city!

Mercatino is a true gem in Budapest, offering an unforgettable dining experience with its impeccable Italian cuisine and exceptional service. The pasta dishes are particularly divine, and the tiramisu is a must-try!

The burger was solid — juicy, decent size, came out fast. That’s what I needed for a quick lunch break. Place wasn’t too crowded at noon, so no waiting around. Presentation looked nice too, but honestly I just wanted to eat and get back. Good spot if you’re in a hurry and want something tasty.

The omelette bagel was solid, and the staff actually spoke decent English which helped. Small spot, easy to miss. A quiet breakfast with a decent glass of wine would've made it perfect, but it's more of a coffee kind of place.

Been coming here for a while now, and the live guitarist still gets it right every time. Tapas were solid again—patatas bravas had that nice crisp to them. Staff remembered us from last visit, which never gets old. Place was a bit noisy near the bar, but that's part of the charm I guess.

Stumbled in after the baths and grabbed the daily meat-and-mashed-potato plate. Portion was solid for the price, cherry soup on the side was a nice touch. Filled me up without emptying my wallet.

Ottimo truly exceeded my expectations with its delicious food and attentive service. The staff, especially Omar, made our visit memorable with their helpful recommendations and warm hospitality.
