Stopped by for dinner and honestly the ribs were the highlight—fall apart tender, sauce had a nice kick. Mac and cheese was solid too, creamy without being heavy. Cocktails did the job, nothing crazy but well made. Place was pretty chill, not too loud, easy to hang out in. Service was fine, friendly enough. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but I’d come back if I’m in the area.

Stopped by for a quick drink, ended up staying for the roast duck. Big portion, really tasty. Lemonade hit the spot too. Service was fast, no waiting around. They even brought me a blanket when I moved inside. Solid spot if you want a decent bite without the fuss.

We stopped in after walking around all day, and honestly, it was exactly what we needed. The building is really pretty, and the staff didn’t rush us at all. We just sat, had a couple of drinks, and watched the room. The vibe was calm, not too loud. I liked that we could take our time without feeling like we had to leave. A solid spot to rest your feet.

Been here a few times now and it never disappoints. The vibe is always lively, staff are nice too. Last time I had the paprika chicken and it was properly seasoned, just the way I like it. Only thing is you really need to book in advance, place gets packed fast.

Prawn tagliatelle was solid, bruschetta too. Pizza looked good but didn't try it. Place was busy, took a bit to get the bill.

A hidden gem in Budapest! The homemade noodles and hunter-style beef cheeks were delicious, and the wine pairing was spot on. A must-visit for food lovers.

Came here twice in three days. Food was consistent both times, which is rare. Staff actually remembered us on the second visit - that kind of attention keeps me coming back. Portions are decent for the price. Nothing fancy, just solid cooking. If you're staying nearby, it's worth the walk.

Came for a drink, stayed way longer than planned. Cocktails were solid, bartender knew what they were doing. Place had a good buzz without being obnoxious. Prices are okay for the quality. Wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but that's minor. Wouldn't mind coming back sometime.

Been coming here for years. The beer list keeps changing enough to stay interesting, and prices are fair for what you get. Sunset view over the Danube still gets me every time.

Been coming here for a while now, and the cheesecake's still as good as the first time. Had a cappuccino with it today, pretty solid too. Place gets a bit busy around noon, but that's fine. Just nice to have a spot where you know what you're getting.

The ginger and beetroot soup was the best thing I had. Creative menu, decent price for what you get. Halloween vibe was there but honestly I just came for the food.

Nice spot right by the river. Cocktails were solid and not overpriced. Took a while to get the bill, but I'd still come back.

Still one of the best burgers around. Patty was juicy and fresh, bun held up nicely. Fries came out a bit cold though, and the cheese on top wasn't melted enough.

The pork ribs were properly done, fell off the bone. Sweet potato fries came out hot and crispy. Mac and cheese is more like a baked pasta thing, but honestly I liked it better that way. Music was good, not too loud. Two floors so plenty of seating. Would go back for the ribs alone.

Cool place if you're into movies. Got the Jackie Burger, pretty solid. Milkshake was a good call after. Atmosphere is the main thing here, really unique. Not somewhere I'd go every week but fun for a change.

The duck breast was cooked properly, pink in the middle, crispy skin. They got the allergy thing right too, told me exactly what was safe without me having to ask twice. Portion could be bigger for the price though. Solid spot if you want proper food without the fuss.

The tourist menu is a decent deal for a quick bite. Goulash soup was pretty good, though the main came out a bit lukewarm. Fine for the price.

The goulash here was spot on, really rich and hearty. Prices felt fair for what you get. Tucked away spot, easy to miss from the street.

Stopped by for coffee and cake. Place looks like it hasn’t changed in decades—marble, high ceilings, old-world feel. Coffee was solid, cakes fresh. Service was fine, no complaints. A bit touristy maybe, but for a quick break it does the job. Wouldn’t go out of my way, but if you’re nearby, it’s a decent stop.

A must-visit spot in Budapest! The decor is quirky and changes from room to room, providing a truly original experience.

No. 1 of Bars in Budapest

The owner actually brought out a blanket when we sat outside—such a nice touch. He also took time to walk us through the wines. Really thoughtful service.

Nice spot by the river, tried the goulash soup and it was proper hearty. Service was a bit slow but the view made up for it. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Food's always fresh and the staff speak perfect English. Coffee was spot on too. Place gets packed though, so be ready to wait for a table 😅

The spaghetti bolognese was decent, and Victor took good care of us. Cozy spot for a proper Hungarian meal. Just wish the portions were a bit bigger.

The gypsy-style pork was the highlight — tender, smoky, that paprika kick just right. Pickled veggies on the side cut through the richness nicely. Place sits in a convenient spot, easy to find. Only thing, it got a bit busy around noon, but the food came out quick enough. Solid choice if you want real Hungarian cooking.

The food was really tasty, and the staff made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Nice spot if you want a relaxed meal without any fuss.

The pizza was really good and we had a nice view from our table. Staff were friendly too. Prices felt fair for what you get. Good spot to hang out with friends.

The lighting in here is doing something right—warm without being dim, makes the whole place feel softer. Got the goulash and it hit the spot, rich and hearty. Service was attentive but not hovering. Honestly expected less from the mixed reviews, but this was a solid find. Maybe a tad slow on the bill, but no real complaints.

Good portions for the price, that's for sure. Had the goulash and it was hearty, hit the spot. Staff were quick and friendly, no complaints. Solid spot if you want to eat where the locals do.
