The owner cooks everything himself. You can see him working in the open kitchen, really focused on each dish. That’s the best part about this place.

A simple soba spot in Shirakawago. The handmade noodles were fresh and really hit the spot after walking around all morning. I got the set with the flavored rice, which was a nice addition. The place itself is very cozy and rustic, with wooden beams and a quiet vibe.

Been coming here for years. The sashimi is always fresh, and the quality is consistent. Had the usual tuna and salmon platter last night, and it was just right. Simple, no fuss.

Great spot right by the station, super easy for meeting up with friends. We grabbed a table outside and it was perfect for a casual catch-up. The parking was a lifesaver, no one had to stress about finding a spot. Just a chill, no-fuss place to hang out.

The Hida beef was really good. The thatched-roof hut is a nice touch, though it's a bit on the pricey side.

The food quality is consistently excellent, with generous portions and a well-balanced harmony of flavors, making for a truly satisfying dining experience.

The owner is so kind. I asked if they could make the noodles softer, and they did it without any fuss. Really nice touch. The local tofu with miso was a good, simple pairing.

Cozy tea room, nice for a quiet break. The cheesecake was light, not too heavy. Good spot to read or work for an hour. Service was efficient.

Loved the tatami seating! It's a proper old Japanese house, and we got a spot right by the little garden. Felt so authentic and peaceful, perfect for a long chat with my friend.

Stopped by for a nightcap. The bartender was really focused, great technique with the shaker. The Grasshopper cocktail was just right—smooth, minty, not too sweet. A nice way to end the evening.
