The handmade soba was good and chewy. The set with Hida beef over rice felt a bit pricey for the portion, though.

The domestic sirloin was decent. A nice, relaxed meal, but service felt a little slow.

The sushi was good, but I really came for the tempura. The batter on the shrimp was so light and crispy, just the right texture. Sat at the counter and watched them fry it fresh. A bit pricey for the portion, but that crunch was worth it.

Staying nearby and really wanted a draft beer, not a can. They were about to close but still let me in, super nice. Had a cold one at the counter, just what I needed. 👍

The three-color soba was so thick and chewy. Really enjoyed the texture. The green tea and matcha flavors came through nicely. A bit on the pricey side, but it was a nice, quiet lunch.

The curry was pretty good. Not too oily, which I liked. Had a decent amount of shrimp and veggies. The self-serve iced green tea was a nice touch on a warm day. A solid choice for a quick lunch.

Been coming here for years. Their Komatsu udon is the real deal - noodles are smooth and chewy, broth is flavorful but not heavy. The stewed beef topping on the meat udon is really good. Solid choice for a reliable meal.

The chawanmushi here is fantastic. It was so smooth and the flavor was just right. I really appreciated how comfortable the seats were, made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal.

Loved the cozy vibe in this old thatched-roof place. The elderly couple running it are so sweet. Had their signature curry - the warmth from the spices was just right on a chilly day. Felt like visiting a kind aunt's kitchen.

The premium nigiri set was so good! The rice seasoning really made the fish shine. Perfect for a casual dinner with friends.

I'm a vegetarian and the pasta here was spot on. The salad was fresh, not just an afterthought. Service was attentive without being overbearing. A nice, relaxed meal.

Cozy spot, perfect for a solo dinner. The vibe is relaxed and the interior is stylish. I enjoyed a nice glass of red with my pasta - a simple, solid pairing. The wine list has some interesting local options.

As a former official chef, the quality of the dishes is outstanding. The combination of flavors is delicate and well-balanced, making each course a delight to savor. I can't wait to return!

The Turkish Rice was a nice surprise, really well done. A solid place to try Ishikawa's take on western food.

This was my first time trying Kanazawa-style curry. The flavor is light but rich, and the rice had a nice firm texture. The booth seating was very comfortable, which made the whole meal feel relaxed. A very satisfying lunch.

The tonkatsu here is always a solid choice. The pork steak is huge and so juicy, definitely my go-to.

Grilled yellowtail with salt was crispy outside, tender inside. The crab rice in a wooden box was also good.

The Toyama Bay Sushi set was my first time trying white shrimp from that region. It was so fresh and sweet, definitely the highlight. The seasoned fish soup alongside it was warm and comforting.
