The staff were so lovely with our dog, even brought him a water bowl without us asking. Made the whole lunch feel relaxed. Food was decent, but honestly that bit of kindness for the pup was the highlight.

Been coming here for years, and the value's still there. You get a solid meal and a pint without that sting in your wallet. It's just reliable.

The Christmas Eve dinner was a proper treat, and the coffee's always spot on. But for what you pay, I did expect a bit more on the plate for the main course. Still, the quality is there.

Spotted a good coffee machine, and the in-house baking was a nice surprise. The chocolate brownie was just right.

Stumbled upon this spot on a coastal walk. The latte was a decent size. What stood out was the freshness of the ingredients in my salad—the greens were crisp and the avocado perfectly ripe. It felt like a genuinely wholesome stop.

The power went out halfway through our meal. They brought out candles and didn't rush us at all. The steak was still cooked perfectly medium-rare, even in the dim light. Honestly, the food didn't miss a beat.

The kunafah was the star for me. Still warm, crispy on top and not overly sweet. The areeka was nice too, a bit like a sticky toffee pudding but different. Just stopped in for dessert and left happy.

The fish and chips were spot on, really liked the crisp batter. My partner enjoyed the surf and turf. I was impressed by the local cider selection – the dry one paired perfectly with my meal. A solid pub experience.

Lovely little spot for a cuppa. The pot of tea was generous, easily two cups. Toast and jam was fine, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. Saw some tempting cakes on the counter though.

Been coming here for years, always solid. The crab chowder's the one to get - proper flavour, not too thick. Had it last week, still hits the spot. Coffee's decent too.

Stumbled into this place inside Brew York. The bao buns were huge and seriously flavourful. Had a couple with one of their own beers. Solid combo for a casual bite.

Loved the steam-punk theme and the sofas are super comfy. The 'meat feast' toastie was really good, generous filling for the price. Cakes looked great but I was too full to try one.

The vegan scone was a lovely treat, and I really appreciated how patiently the staff answered my questions about allergens. It made for a relaxed, worry-free afternoon.

Lovely spot by the old Roman walls. The coffee was spot on, and their wine list had a few nice surprises to go with the cakes.

Stopped by for a coffee and ended up staying a while. The upstairs is really spacious, nice view for people-watching. Coffee was solid. Good spot to just sit and chat.

Popped in for a late breakfast. The scrambled eggs with salmon on sourdough really stood out – the eggs were so soft and the salmon tasted incredibly fresh. That's exactly what I look for. The coffee was good too. There was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind.

Staff were super friendly, made us feel right at home. They even sang happy birthday for my cousin, which was a nice surprise. Just a really warm vibe here.

Orla was so attentive despite the Black Friday rush. My negroni was just right, not too sweet. The whole vibe felt calm even with the crowd.

Decent fish and chips, and the portions are generous for the price. The seating is a bit cramped, but it's a handy spot in the centre.

This little takeaway spot is just right for a quick bite on the go. I love that the pies are made fresh all day long—caught a warm one straight from the oven. The line moves fast, too.

The veggie breakfast is a solid choice for a weekend brunch with friends. They open early, which is handy!

The cheese and bacon rolls here are a real treat. Just had one fresh from the oven, the cheese was perfectly melted and gooey. A bit on the small side for the price, but honestly, I'd probably get another.

The lamb kebabs are pretty good, especially with the chilli sauce. A solid choice for a late bite. It's a bit loud inside, but fine for a quick meal.

A dog-friendly spot with good coffee and free WiFi. Staff were really welcoming. Panini looked great, tasted fine. Not a bad place to hang out with the pup for a bit.

Cosy little spot tucked inside the old market hall. Perfect for a rainy day like today. Had the fish and chips, decent portion and the chips were proper crispy. Bit pricey for what it is, but the vibe is nice.

The gluten-free fish and chips were cooked fresh. As a coeliac, it's so nice to have a safe option that actually tastes good.

Been here a few times. The staff really know their stuff, explained the dishes well. Had the roast duck and a couple dim sum, all looked great and tasted spot on. Good Cantonese spot.

Service was lovely even though we arrived just before closing. The team was so kind, didn’t rush us at all. Really appreciated that.
