The food here is a real step up from your average pub grub. Had the steak and ale pie, the pastry was spot on and the filling was packed with flavour. The chef definitely knows their stuff.

Been in a few times now. It’s a proper no-frills local, but always feels welcoming. Bar staff are sound, and the summer seating out front is a proper bonus. 👍

The kids' play area outside is a lifesaver on a hot day. They were busy for ages. I had a decent burger and a pint, could actually sit and finish it. Makes a nice change.
