Bambu Russey Restaurant Review

很棒的咖啡馆，感觉特别的好，真心的喜欢这个感觉，是非常棒的。

从早上七点就开始营业了，供应便宜的早餐，老板很是和蔼可亲，客人特别多，从东南亚菜品到法式意大利式风味都会有，pizza很好吃

I had avoided this restaurant as I had heard it was vey expensive and at $8.75 for a duck breast it is on the higher end of prices in Battambang. However, it was worth every cent !! The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauce was divine and it was a good size serving. Add the beautiful location by the pool and the happy hour beer pricing and I will definitely be returning for another serving !!

We wanted to go to the best restaurant in Battambang, and several locals had recommended the Bambu. The restaurant is very attractive. Love the old tiles! Air conditioning would have been appreciated, but that seems to be just about impossible to find in this town. But the big windows were wide open and fans were running, so it was pretty tolerable despite the 100 degree temperature outside. The food was good. We both had western dishes - pork provencal, spring rolls, salt and pepper squid (think "fried squid"), the hamburger steak and a chocolate mouse (chocolaty!). The pork was tough - probably free-range local pork, not much you can do about that) but the flavor was very good, and everything else we ordered was fine. In a larger city, this would be a good restaurant but perhaps not the best restaurant, but for Battambang, it's the best we had in the four days that we were here. Service was fine. They were quite busy but still managed to keep everyone happy. We were there during happy hour, and all drinks were half price, so we had a couple of drinks, too. Our entire bill came out to about $36, which isn't cheap but not bad considering all the food we had, and we were stuffed when we left. Staff called a tuk-tuk to pick us up afterwards, which was nice as it would have been a long walk back to our hotel. Would return here next time we're in the area.
