D. Pedro V. Theatre Review

At least four famous buildings around the front of the Gangding are part of the historic city of Macau World Heritage: He Dong Library, St. Joseph's Abbey, St. Austin Church and Gangding Theatre. Gangding Theatre (Teatro de Pedro V) (Chinese is called the Peter V Theatre; also known as the Martyr Theatre and the Gangding Bolou), is an ancient theater located in the front of the Gangding in Macau, which is recognized as the first Western-style theater in China. In 2005, it was included in the World Heritage List as part of Macau's historical city.

Gangding Theatre is the oldest theater in Macau, and it is famously sparse because it is precisely on the top of a hillside, for the Gangding, but it is indeed a small and beautiful place. Ten years ago, I was looking for the first time to come here. A Sanmen was good to talk. I explained that it was the rest day that I could not go in, or let me go into the yard and take pictures of the building. This time I was destined to enter the theater, it was really old and beautiful!

It is located on the southwest side of the front of the Chamber, not far from the St. Louis-Saint-Lao-Saint-Saint-Saint-Saint-Saint-Saint-Saint-Saint-Saint-Saint-Saint

Peter V Theatre (Teatro de Pedro V) (commonly known as Gangding Theatre, also known as Ma Ping Theatre, Gangding Bolou), is an ancient theater located in the front of Gangding in Macau, which is recognized as the first Western-style theater in China. In 2005, it was included in the World Heritage List as part of Macau's historic city. The Portuguese in Macau raised funds in 1860 to commemorate King Peter V of Portugal. Initially, only the main part was built, and then in 1873, a colonnade, arcade and neoclassical triangular bridge were added to the entrance. It used to be the hall of the Portuguese and the gathering place of Portuguese natives in Macau. In addition to the theater, there are ballrooms, reading buildings and billiards rooms, so there is a Gangding Bo Building.

After seeing so many Portuguese-style buildings, I really feel that the colour of Gangding Theatre is the most beautiful! Gangding Theatre is recognized as China's first Western-style theatre and world cultural heritage, and its architecture is a neoclassical Greek revival style. On the first floor, there are people sitting around and discussing. On the second floor, the small theatre is magnificent and magnificent. As soon as we approach the sound inside the door, we begin to sing. The sound effect is absolute!!! The security guards in the theatre are friendly. The yellow building opposite the Gangding Theatre is St. Austin Church, which is under repair and is not open.

Walking along the new road from the cathedral, all the way is a very distinctive house, a slope at a glance to see the Gangding Theatre (Portuguese name is Peter V Theatre; also known as the Majiao Theatre, Gangding Bolou). It is an ancient theatre located in the front of Gangding, Macao. It is recognized as the first Western-style theatre in China. In 2005, as part of Macau's historic urban area, it was included in the World Heritage List. The pale green walls stand out in other pale yellow buildings. Although the theatre is small, it is exquisite and can be visited inside. Downstairs is the rehearsal room, there is also a Chinese and Western hall, are mirrors, chandeliers. Through the hall is a row of corridors, wooden floors, floor windows, and then a narrow staircase, you can go up to the second floor to see the performance, upstairs is the seats, about 76 seats. It's one of my favorite buildings in Macau.
