Hulun lake is very beautiful and peaceful. It extends far beyond the horizon and when we went (early October) there were very few people around, and plenty of opportunity to enjoy silence, and even some sunshine. The tourist park area is very run down and mostly abandoned. There are no food vendors, boat trips, or any signs of life. Only the people selling tickets and souvenirs remain. Even all of the toilets are locked. Without any facilities or any signs of maintenance, I wonder what the ticket is for.
