The Torii Shindai Botanical Park covers an area of nearly 50 hectares, with more than 3,500 species of flowers and trees in the park, and hundreds of thousands of plants. It is the largest botanical park in Japan. In the early years, it was called the Shendai Greenland, and in 36 years, it was changed to Shendai Botanical Park. It is popular with tourists.
