This is a Chinese-style Taoist view of the 18th century, established by the first Cantonese and Fujian people who migrated to Penang Island, named Guangfu Palace. Many pilgrims came to this place to burn incense and worship the goddess, praying for good luck and smooth sailing, so it is called Goddess of Mercy Temple, located at the southernmost end of Lebun China, Jln Masjid Kapitan Keling and Lorong Stewart streets. There is a stone lion gate in front of Guangfu Palace, there is an incense stove in the square, the oversized standing incense, and the incense is constantly burning. Many pigeons are moving freely here, some are flying, some are on the roof, and some are cleaning their feathers in the pool. The attraction has a long history and is worth a visit.
