Oamaru Review

The relatively large city on New Zealand's South Island, second only to Christchurch, in the evening we bought tickets to go up the mountain and wait for the little blue penguins to land from the sea and return to their accommodation under the sight of many spectators. It gave us a big surprise. The weather was cold and the wind and rain were mixed.

Oamaru, Maori Te Oha-a-Maru, 80 km south of Timaru and 120 km north of Danidin, is the third largest city in Otago, connected by New Zealand's longest Highway 1. There is the most famous penguin conservation center, and the smallest blue penguin in the world is currently being re-bred. In addition, there are yellow-eyed penguins in Bushy Beach , which makes this town known as penguin town.

Omaru is a wonderful trip to New Zealand, where the steam locomotive, blue bay, white stone town is full of sunshine and enthusiasm, compared to the natural scenery, the humanistic scenery here is more slow to travel.

奥玛鲁只是路过，本想看蓝企鹅，或黄眼企鹅的，但去I-site了解，据说蓝企鹅要到晚上九点半以后才回巢，黄眼企鹅也因为越来越少已经不营业了。但那里有个public garden, 里边的花品种繁多，而且好美，这是之前攻略没看到了，值得一去哦……(手机上传的照片都是儿子随便拍的，我们主要用相机拍，不方便上传...)

奥马鲁是一个很有味道的海滨小城，最赞的景点是蒸汽朋克博物馆，很多人只是路过，进去后别有洞天。博物馆斜对面是泰因街，有一栋很古朴的建筑是克里特里安酒店，建于1877年。沿着泰因街就可以走到海边。城市的另一侧是泰晤士大街，大街的南侧树立着教堂，大街上第一个建筑是1864年的邮政局，现在是市政厅，建于对面的是国家银行，现在是艺术画廊。整个城市留存着旧欧洲的气息，仿佛回到了19世纪。
