祆神楼，首先有意思的是它的名字，祆右边是个天，念xian，之前一直错看成棉袄的袄，还心里想袄神是个什么神(不要嘲笑我哈哈)。一说祆神楼和祆教即拜火教有关系，一说祆神楼是介休三贤之一的北宋名相文彦博所建。无论来历如何，祆神楼的建筑非常精巧有特点，空中看是个坐北朝南的“凸”字，凸起的部分伸到街心，远看像个三头神兽，在一片平房中兀自耸立，很有气势。楼高三层，榫卯极其复杂，虽然是三面突出，但无论从哪个方向看，都很和谐。原先的楼在顺治年间毁于火灾，目前看到的建筑是康熙年间重建的，也有数百年历史了。有点遗憾的是由于楼内献亭屋顶有瓦筒滑落，管理方决定封闭维修，未能入内参观。祆神楼1986年被评为省级文保，十年之后被评为国家级文保，但是如此珍贵的建筑文物，却不是很知名，希望介休能够加大推广，让更多的文化爱好者能够领略到祆神楼的雄姿和它背后的旖旎故事。
