Reviews: JR Haruka Kansai Airport Express

I'm very grateful to Ctrip for making it so convenient to buy international train tickets. I printed out the QR code and brought it with me. I redeemed my ticket at the white machine at the JR entrance of Terminal 1 at Kansai Airport. The machine has a Chinese language option. After redeeming my ticket, I entered the station through the manual channel and took the escalator down one level to Platform 3, which is where the Hello Kitty shuttle bus is located.
Reviews: JR PASS Japan Kansai Area Rail Pass (Electronic Exchange Voucher)

Before traveling to Japan, I heard that buying a tourist pass would facilitate transportation and save money. I bought two sets of four-day passes on a platform. On October 6th, I arrived at Osaka Kansai Airport and exchanged them for paper passes valid from October 9th to 12th. I also bought two ICOCA cards, each worth 10,000 yen. On the 9th, I took the JR Osaka Loop Line from Shin-Kangu to Kyoto Station. The staff at the station said the two JR passes were valid all the way to Uzuma Station on the Sagano Line, a one-way trip. The Arashiyama Sagano scenic area is quite remote, and the area is only accessible by bus, so the passes couldn't be used. I spent most of my time staying in the Arashiyama area, and I don't know how to use the remaining passes, nor where to use them. We returned to Japan on October 16th. I'm wondering if I can get a refund for the two unused sets of passes.
Reviews: JR Kansai Mini Rail Pass (Electronic Exchange Voucher)

My trip to Osaka was from November 2nd to 6th, 2025. I bought the JR Kansai Mini Pass, which was quite convenient and cost-effective. I visited Kobe and Kyoto, both of which had new rapid transit lines. On the last day, I also took the Airport Express. Note that cars 5-8 on the Airport Express might be assigned to Wakayama, so be sure to take cars 1-4. I also took the Arashiyama Scenic Railway; make sure you buy the correct section ticket, as it offers round-trip tickets. I bought the wrong one.
Reviews: [Official Ticket] KANSAI RAILWAY PASS 2-Day Ticket/3-Day Ticket (formerly known as KANSAI THRU PASS)

This pass is so awesome!!! Let me tell you, if you're planning a trip to the Kansai region, you'd be making a huge mistake not getting this pass. It allows you to ride multiple train lines and travel throughout the entire Kansai region. The 3-day pass, in particular, can be used non-consecutively, which is amazing. And even in Osaka itself, you can take the Nankai train directly from the airport, which is fantastic. It also works on all subway lines, except for JR, Randen (Keifuku Railroad), and the Hieizan Sakamoto Cable. And that's not all! You can also take the train to several other prefectures, including Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, Wakayama, and Shiga. Get ready for a tiring trip, lol.

For my 6-day, 5-night trip, I bought a 5-day Kansai Wide Area Rail Pass. It was an incredible value! It took me from Kansai Airport to my hotel, then to Himeji Castle, then to the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Then, I went to Wakayama and Shirahama, even using the Kodama Tram at Kishike Station, and finally back to Kansai Airport. It was incredibly practical and saved me money!

A 5-day pass. There's nothing to comment on here; it covered all my JR trips during those days. In my case, it was well worth the money.
