The ancient city is nice, but it's completely different from the ancient towns and villages of Jiangnan with their bridges and flowing water. It's more of a rustic, simple, and honest ancient city. Outside the ancient city, there are four free parking lots on both sides, and a very large underground paid parking lot! Entering through the Fucai Gate, there are only people on the central avenue; the other sides are practically deserted. The ancient city has a light show starting at 7:30 PM, lasting about 5-6 minutes every half hour. The customer service center didn't even have brochures or maps on Saturdays and Sundays. Just exploring the ancient city takes about half a day.
