Are there First Class Southeastern tickets available?
Southeastern has now discontinued its official First Class ticket category. This means that you can no longer buy a ticket specifically branded as First Class. However, the seats that were previously sold as First Class remain in certain carriages, and they are open to anyone travelling with a Standard Class ticket.
These seats are arranged in a 2 + 2 layout, offering a little extra space and comfort compared with regular Standard Class seating. While you do not need to pay a supplement, it is worth remembering that availability depends on finding these seats on the day.
Where can previous First Class seats be found?
The seats that used to make up Southeastern’s First Class can be found in designated carriages across certain train sets - usually just behind the driver's cab, Although they are no longer officially reserved as First Class, they remain distinct from the usual Standard Class layout and are popular with passengers seeking a quieter or more comfortable ride.
