The animals were often unable to hide from the direct hot sun, many were panting and their skin looked sore and dry. This was like a zoo from 50 years ago. Little awareness of habitat and space. Rebui...
In the past, when talking about Japan's most famous zoo, people will naturally mention the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. Today, when it comes to the most popular, it is the Asahi Zoo located on the outskirts of Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, Japan. The Penguin in Asahiyama Park and the penguin walk twice a day are my biggest expectations for the city of Asahikawa. Many years ago, there was a Japanese TV drama, which was an interesting story that appeared in the Asahiyama Zoo. At that time, I was full of illusions about Daoyang Xushan, which I still dont understand.
Asahikawa Zoo is not big, and the Penguin Pavilion is definitely a highlight. Located in the center of the park, it is divided into indoor and outdoor parts. The
indoor part can see different kinds of penguins through the glass, and there are detailed speeches to introduce the appearance and living habits of different varieties. The
outdoor part is the area where the penguins are ventilated. The penguin walk twice a day is also the starting point and the end point. It is said that there is also a zoo in Noboribetsu in Hokkaido. There are penguins walking in the winter, but there is no Asahikawa in the snow, so the penguins walk on the outdoor pavilions instead of in the snow.
The penguin's ankle is very soft. If the snowfall in Asahikawa is not big enough, in order to prevent the penguin from hurting his feet because of walking on the stone, the zoo will cancel the penguin walk on the day.

To Hokkaido in winter, Asahikawa is a must-see. The most famous attraction in Asahikawa is the Asahiyama Zoo. The most popular attraction for the Asahiyama Zoo is the penguin walk. There is one at 11 am every day and one at half past two in the afternoon.
The whole penguin walk is about half an hour. Once you enter the zoo, you can see the place where you can watch the penguins take a walk. It doesn't matter where you line up at the beginning. The penguin keeps going until you get back. Your own "home", follow the pace of the penguin to move your position, you can definitely find a good position to watch and take pictures.
In addition to penguins, Asahiyama Zoo and polar bears, raccoons, deer, giraffes and other animals, watching animals in the snow and ice, is also a special experience.
The decoration in the zoo is very love, the material is photographed everywhere, even the vending machine is also animal-themed, so cute, foul!

In a few days, you can return to the Asahikawa Zoo again.
I thought about it last year, I really didn't have enough fun!
favorite penguin when walking, twisted and twisted, so cute!
There are other common giraffes, lambs.
There are little pandas! ! Feeding the little pandas is the most fun, they are too embarrassing, love apples, only eat in the eyes.
I always feel that going to the zoo is a matter of adults with children, but in fact, anyone can have fun in it.
Especially the penguins walking in the Asahikawa Zoo, seeing these chubby guys at close range, I feel that there is nothing wrong with it. Happy! !(^^)

Asahiyama Zoo
came to Hokkaido this time and specially set aside time for the Asahiyama Zoo. Asahikawa is not too far from Sapporo, you can choose a day tour group or go on your own. Its easier with the group, but its a little longer, and Ive missed the penguin walk in the morning when I arrived at the zoo. So I chose the second way. Take the express train from Sapporo Station, arrive at Asahikawa Station in about 90 minutes, then take the route bus for about 30 minutes. Drive to the zoo.
You can buy the tickets for the express and bus tickets at the Sapporo Station Visitor Center in advance, but I lost the return bus ticket when I was at the zoo. I can only buy tickets again...
Also, If you are landing in Hokkaido and the first purpose is the zoo, you can take the bus directly from Shin-Chitose Airport and arrive at Asahikawa City in about three hours. This will give you more time to go to the zoo the next day. The accommodation in front of the station is more affordable than Sapporo.
In addition to the penguin walk, the zoo has many activities. In the summer, there is a special night zoo open day, other photography classrooms, story reading sessions, etc. that lead everyone to take pictures, some need to register early. There are several catering and selling stores in the park, and the content provided is not the same. If you are interested, you can buy it first.

A famous zoo in Hokkaido where you can observe animals and birds in very close distance. A great place for kids too.
I would highly recommend this zoo. It was a wonderful experience seeing the animals in fun, enriching habitats. If you’re a photographer or someone tired of having mediocre views of zoo animals, definitely check this place out!For a full review visit: https://zoocritic.wordpress.com/2015/08/18/review-asahiyama-zoo/
Who doesn't enjoy polar bears? And monkeys and lions and all the regular guests at a zoo. This is a wild place with lots of the key animals which will make any kid squeal with excitement. Easily a good half day of adventure. Bring your walking shoes.
Sakurayama zoo is a zoo in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido. The biggest feature here is the humanized design, which ensures that animals are kept in relatively free feeding and allows visitors to observe animals from zero distances through clever displays. Every winter the zoo launches a special event for the Penguin Parade, where visitors are given two opportunities to follow the budding penguin parade around the back of the parade.
