Fangshan Global Geopark

Fangshan has a lot of persimmons on the wild mountain every year. I picked them casually. I went a little late this year. The persimmons were all picked. Fangshan has a Fangshan Rock Geopark. The park is on the mountain on the west side of Niukouyu Reservoir. This park does not charge tickets and can drive directly to the entrance of the park, but the park is relatively deserted. You can overlook Niukouyu Reservoir in the park.

In May 2010, Fangshan World Geopark in China officially opened the park, becoming a member of the world geopark family. China Fangshan World Geopark is located in the southwest of Beijing, spanning Fangshan District, Lishui County, Hebei Province, Yiyuan County, Yixian Province, and four districts and counties. It is only 50-100 kilometers away from the center of Beijing, and the geographical conditions are superior. The park is characterized by a large-scale ancient human site, a typical northern semi-arid and semi-humid climate, including surface and underground karst landforms, integrating a long history and culture and beautiful natural landscape, integrating science education, sightseeing, leisure and vacation, Religious worship in one integrated geopark. The park covers a total area of 1,045 square kilometers.

Fangshan is mountainous, and the mountain view is "just" than Huairou. If you want to go all over the mountains of Fangshan, it will take at least two weeks.
