武隆仙女湖距重庆市区170公里。景区位于“乌江画廊”概念景区起点，武隆区国家AAAA级森林公园和国家AAAAA级地质公园范围内，周边有“仙女山森林公园”、“天生三桥”、“龙水峡天坑地缝”等知名景点。仙女湖景区内拥有盆地、峡谷、森林、小溪、草场、悬崖、怪石、瀑布、湖泊、溶洞、湿地、竹林，植被和野生动物等资源。
