The site of the Fukuoka domain's academic school in the town near Karajincho. However, it seems that the period of activity as a school was less than 20 years. Now there is nothing left except a small stone monument and an explanation board. It's not a famous place to go to see it.
There used to be only a small stone monument, but a historical tourist information board was built, making it easier to go sightseeing with an easy-to-understand explanation. That said, there is only a signboard beside the road, and now it is a parking lot. It is just behind the Karajincho shopping street. In the Edo period, there was a domain school of the Fukuoka domain 「 West Gakumonjo 」 here, but the difference is clear because the eastern domain school is now Fukuoka Prefectural Shuyukan High School!
I stopped by for the first time in late March. There is only a small monument with a tourist information board. It used to be a monument that there was a clan school "Nishi Gakumonjo" of the Fukuoka clan, but I sympathize with the dignity. Next to the monument is Hachiman Shrine. With the monument on the back, I could see the popular Japanese sweets shop "Imofuku" in the right hand direction and nose. Other information. The principal at that time was Minami Kamei, who is famous for his gold seal. The family temple is Jomanji Temple in the town. By the way, there was another clan school in the Fukuoka domain. That is Shuyu ...
If there are people who come all the way to see this, they will have a lot of thoughts 。。。 It seems that there is a place where locals don't know much. .. ..
There is a potun on the back street. There are many temples nearby, and there may be a good place to walk around the historic site. Only a monument stands in a small vacant lot. I couldn't see anything reminiscent of the past.
