Oi Kwan Hotel

Guangzhou Aiqun Building was completed and opened in 1937. It is located at No. 113, Yanjiang West Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It is a hotel under the Guangzhou Tourism Bureau. Aiqun Building has won the crown of Guangzhou buildings, and is famous for its brand-new, perfect and luxurious equipment. The building was designed by Chen Rongzhi and Li Bingyuan. Construction began on October 1, 1934, completed in April 1937, and opened in July. It is a high-rise building imitating American skyscrapers with a steel frame structure. Covering an area of more than 800 square meters, the plan is triangular, with a height of 15 floors and 64 meters. It follows the layout along the street. The first floor is built along the street on the sidewalk in the form of an arcade building. There are halls, restaurants, and shopping malls. Above the second floor, there are rooms and high-rise buildings. There are elevators and walking ladders. It is on the platform of the tenth floor. Build a tower with a pointed flat top, and the word "Love Qun" is molded on the pointed flat top. The exterior walls of the building were originally painted with white washed stone and rice finishes, and rectangular steel windows were opened. In March 1966, a new building with 18 floors, a height of 67.32 meters and an area of 13,000 square meters was built on the east side of the successive Aiqun Building. The new building and the old floors are connected together as a whole. Although the facades of the two floors are different in shape, they match the styles and are harmonious and unified.
