    Tokyo City Designated Cultural Property

    Original Text

Surrounded by fences, when I looked down, there was something like a "well" at the bottom. When I turned around a little, there was a road down, and I was able to actually go back and forth freely to the well. It was a shrine precinct, so I only visited from the surroundings, but it was a well that gave me a mysterious impression.

    Gonojin Maizu well

    Original Text

There was such a ruin in front of Hamura station. Legend says it was built during the Daido era (806 ~ 810), but the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education estimates that it was from the Kamakura period and its shape from the excavated plate monument. It is said that there is an old document that the repair work of the well was carried out in 1741 in the village of gonokami village at that time. The present figure is described on the explanation board that it reproduced the time of the sixth year of the original bun in 1953.

I had a business at this station and there was a spot here, so I stopped by. There was also a signboard with an explanation, and it was in an easy-to-understand place. You can see that it is swirling from above. It is possible to get close to it.

    A sliding well site

    Original Text

The timing is not certain, but it is the site of a well that was built from the Heian period to the Kamakura period and was used about 60 years ago. Since well digging technology was not established at the time of construction, it is shaped like a mortar. There is a spiral path to the bottom, so you can go down to the bottom, but it was quiet without anyone visiting it because it was a sober historic site.

It is a well built by further digging into the center of a mortar-shaped depression. It is named after the spiral-shaped slope leading to the well resembles a snail. In the gravel area like the Musashino plateau, it seems to be the idea of an era when it was difficult to dig a cylindrical well. The year of its founding is estimated from the materials to the Kamakura period. When I looked through the gap in the net, I found that water was accumulated at the bottom of about 6m deep because I reflected it? !! Interesting for viewing ...
