Jianghua Yi Autonomous County, located at the southernmost end of Hunan Province, bordering Guangdong and Guangxi, is surrounded by the mountains of Nanling. This is the largest settlement of our Yi compatriots, so there are many elements of national customs that attract the eyes of visitors. Jianghua County has a Panwang Palace, which is a place for worshipping Panwang. The Yi people recognize Panwang as their common ancestor. Panwang is called Panwang. It is rumored that he was awarded the three princesses to him because of the unlisted protection of the state. He later gave birth to six men and six women. He evaluated the surname of Wang and sealed Panwang as Panwang. This Panwang Palace was originally located in the Gupo Mountain, but due to its long disrepair, it was migrated to Pingtouyan Park in the city. The Yi Totem Garden is located on the west side of Panwang Palace. The Yi totem garden is a circular square, its landmark is the totem wall on the west side of the square, and the totem columns on both sides. The totem is a kind of worship, a carrier of some soul, a spiritual sustenance during the primitive tribal period. So what is the totem of the Yi people? The answer is on the totem wall. This totem wall is 12 meters high and 36 meters wide, with a strong visual impact. The totem wall consists of a large number of granite relief works, and the black beast in the middle, is its protagonist, looking like a faucet image. Pan Xuan is a ancient mythical legend of the character, rumored to be a animal dog, slowly evolved a dragon shape, so this faucet image is also called a dragon dog, showing it is Pan Xuan. The whole totem wall is covered with mysterious patterns and various shapes of dragons. Tonggu Square is the square in front of Jianghua Railway Station, named after a giant long drum sculpture in the middle of the square. Jianghua is located in a remote location, there is no high-speed rail, only a few ordinary green leather cars pass by here every day, so the station is relatively small. Long Inspiration is a Dai dance, a national intangible cultural heritage, usually performed during traditional festivals and major events of the Dai people, and its original origin is precisely because of the sacrifice of the Pan king. Changgu, the most representative symbol of the Yi people, can see the shape of Changgu everywhere on the streets of Jianghua County. This Changgu sculpture is made of pure copper, weighing 15.6 tons, up to 15 meters long, standing in the middle of the square, very striking. In 2010, it was built during the 55th anniversary celebration of the founding of Jianghua Yi Autonomous County and is now an iconic building. Unlike the station square we have in our impression, there are few passengers in a hurry here, even if they are to take a ride, they are not slow. Therefore, Tonggu Square has become a place for local residents to relax and entertain, especially at night, it is even more lively. #City Humanities Handbook #Capture City Humanities
