Last month I went to Guangxi with my friends. When it comes to Guangxi, everyone knows that 'Guilin's landscape is the best under heaven'. In fact, around Guilin, there is another beautiful terraced field scenic area - Longji Terraced Fields, known as the 'crown of the world's terraced fields'. Blue sky and white clouds☁, layers of terraces🌾, like a huge ink painting in front of my eyes, exactly the same as what I saw in the TV commercials, casually shooting is a big scene effect, I really regret why I only come now! The terraces have different beauty in each season, the best check-in season is from May to October: 🌾May-June: Watering period, watch 'mirror terraces' 🌾July-September: Growing period, watch 'matcha green terraces' 🌾End of September-October: Autumn harvest period, watch 'golden terraces' ⛰️About the scenic spot: Longji Terraced Fields is a large-scale terraced field group. Ping'an Terraced Fields and Jinkeng Terraced Fields are the main viewing areas. Ping'an was developed earlier and has more tourists. Jinkeng was developed later but is larger and has more viewing points. Therefore, we chose to stay in Jinkeng Terraced Fields this time for convenience. 🏠About accommodation: There are many homestays in the Longji scenic area. We chose the Muye Chenxi Homestay, which is very close to the viewing platform. It takes 5-20 minutes to walk🚶🏻 to the viewing platform 1-2. The important thing is that I really like the design style of this homestay! The overall design comes from the hands of British huang family architects. Whether it's design aesthetics or living experience, it didn't disappoint us. The room is very warm and tidy, and the terraced scenery is just outside the window, which is simply the life I long for~ The homestay also has a 180-degree viewing platform, which is very open and full of green plants🌿🌿. Sitting on the platform and looking into the distance, you can see the scenery of Longji Terraced Fields. The afternoon tea is also very good, the coffee☕ and desserts🍰 are all professional. There are limited desserts in different seasons. I strongly recommend Double Chocolate Parlinne, Passion Fruit Basque, and Rum Cherry Chocolate. With a cup of coffee, sitting on the viewing terrace, blowing the mountain breeze, looking at the terraced scenery in the distance, it's so cool! 🥢About food: There are no special restaurants in the scenic area. We all eat in the homestay, dining on the viewing platform, which is quite comfortable. I didn't expect the food in the homestay to be delicious, very authentic mountain food: spicy chicken, bamboo rice, spring water fish, rice fragrant fish are all must-order. The ingredients are very fresh, and I, a person who doesn't usually like to eat fish, can't stop praising it~ 🚘About transportation: 🚗The most convenient is of course self-driving. The homestay sends the location of 'Tiantouzhai Parking Lot' in advance, and the car can directly reach the door of the shop. The last section of the road is quite steep and narrow. The Longi Rice Terraces, often called the "dragons backbone Rice Terraces because of its unique pattern and formation, are hands down some of the most impressive and incredible in the world. Located in the remote mountains of Guilin prefecture in China, they are a prime example of the harmonious interaction between nature and humanity. During the months of May and June, local Zhang and Yao minority farmers begin planting seeds and working to perfect the reflective water-filled terraces. Visitors can get here by a 2 hour drive from Guilin city and hike for about 3 hours to get to the main observation deck. 🚌 We took a 2 hour bus from Guilin City centre at 09:00 and back again at 17:30. You can book this through the local tour guide agencies around town. 🥾There is an option to take the cable car, but if you are moderately active, take the hiking path down instead. It will take you through some villages, houses and get you close up pictures with the rice fields. 🥟There are plenty of local food options at the start and top of the terrace. Longji Rice Terraces Scenic Area is very large and have 3 main villages. From Guilin it's around 1 and half hour drive. There is a big parking place and then electric car drive you to the hotel. You can spend one or two nights there and enjoy in a view and amazing nature. Food is also very good, try some local dishes and there is a lot of hotels with a good view from the room. Try to go there when it's not holiday so you can enjoy in peace and feel that vibe to maximum. #longjiriceterrace #guilin #mytripvlog

We went during winter season, so the terraces were filled with water and reflected the warm sun as we hiked up the hills to see them. We loved not only the beautiful views, but also the hospitality from the local minority people who walked us there and also fed us in their home with traditional bamboo cooked rice.

Going up the Terraces by cableway is is a must but you don’t get to walk within the terraces and physically touch and feel them. Sleeping over the at village allows you to get a different or much fulfilling experience. IG@gnett_l #mytripvlog

Longji Rice Terraces, translated to Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces, have its name because the rice terraces look likw a dragon and the mountain range behind looks like the backbone of a dragon. They are maybe the most famous rice terraces in China, close to Guilin city in Guangxi. I've been there twice, once in summer and in autumn. Autumn was more cooler and easy to hike. 📍 Longji Rice Terraces, Guilin, Guangxi 🏨 I recommend to sleep inside the scenic area for one night, in this case you can see the sunrise and also the sunset. The Longhorn Rice Terrace, located in the town of Longji, which is roughly 100 kilometers from Guilin, China. There are lots of tourists agent provide one day trip from the city of Guilin. If you have never seen Rice Terrace before, this one is a must go. The view is so spectacular. There are choices of cable car or climb up. I choose not to take cable car this time, and the hiking is not bad at all. The view is fantastic along the route and you can even see some old villages along the route. The view on the top is even more great though, so if you are not a sport person, maybe just take the cable car. This place is more beautiful in fall time, but prepare for lots of tourists if you chose to go during the busy season
