Learn about all these important aspects of Los Angeles history by visiting the Peaceful Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens currently owned by the Spiritual Inner Consciousness Movement. Let's start with the sunshine. The maze is located in the garden of Villa Guasti, an Italian-style mansion built in 1910 by Secondo Guasti. Mr. Guasti is from Italy, rich as a winemaker, and has developed a huge vineyard in San Bernardino County. Mr. Guasti saw the potential of the climate and built a thriving business, surviving during the prohibition by selling communion and medicinal wines. This villa was his dream home. Our guide told us he invited Italian craftsmen to make wood carvings and murals. MSA did this important task brilliantly, preserving the American dream and the amazing history of Los Angeles
