It was very nice that the volunteers were very kind and explained the exhibits. I was able to deepen my knowledge about the Gunma tumulus group, and I was told that the flow of the Tone River changed, and that the castle of Sosha disappeared under the flow of the Tone River now.
The Maebashi City Sosha Historical Museum is located between the Snake Anyama Tumulus and the Hotoyama Tumulus in the Sosha Tumulus Group. It is a very beautiful building and looks like a one-story building at first glance, but it is a 2 floor, and there was a 1 exhibition room on the first floor and a 2 exhibition room on the second floor. 1 The exhibition room has four corners: the cultural property of the Sosha District, the male "Sosha Kofun tumulus group" in the eastern country, the phantom Hakuho temple "Sanno Haiji", the Akimoto clan and the Tengu Iwa irrigation water. It is surrounded by ancient ruins of "Snake Annayama Kofun and Hotoyama Kofun" on the premises. Materials 々 are on display, and you can understand the tumulus in detail.
The exterior is small, but the exhibits inside were very substantial.

I went by car. The library is right next door and there is a common parking lot. Admission and parking are free. It is located in an area surrounded by ancient ruins that the "Hotoyama Kofun" is on the premises and the opposite side of the road is the "Hotoyama Kofun". I didn't expect much because the entrance was small, but when I entered, I was surprised that valuable materials were on display. Explanations about the "Sosha Kofun Group" including the two Kofun tumuli mentioned above, and exhibitions of excavated items and replicas. For the Hotoyama Kofun tumulus, the reduced model of the stone chamber ...
