Because it is a shrine next to the inn where I stayed, I visited without a stomach after breakfast. When I searched on the net, there are 3 places nationwide such as Dogo Onsen, and this seems to be one of them. This shrine is small in the precincts, the door of the main shrine is closed with a kannuki, there is no money box, so to speak, it is a shutter shrine. No matter how close the inn, I didn't bother to go to worship. However, the precincts do not feel rough and seem to be managed as it is ...
It was just a short walk from Yugo Onsen and Sagi Onsenkan, and it was just a good distance to cool the hot water. Walk through the alleys of the hot spring town and climb the stairs. On the left is the Yugo Onsen Museum (closed), and there is a magnificent shrine in the back of the right, which is reasonably new and much larger than the temple. I took a rest in a quiet place and returned.
I stopped by while taking a walk in Yugo Onsen. It is about 5 minutes from the tourist information center and is up the stairs. I came last time when it was snowing, but it's beautiful on a sunny day.
When I entered the back alley of Yugo Onsen Town, there was a torii gate and an entrance to the approach, and I noticed this shrine. The shrine is the guardian deity of hot springs. However, the corner of this alley has a very atmosphere, so that one is also quite good. I think you need to walk around here to feel the old hot spring town.
It is located on a hill that walks about 5 from the tourist information center of Yugo Onsen to the back alley. There is a shrine of the same name in Dogo Onsen in Matsuyama City, but it seems that it has nothing to do with it. When you climb the narrow and steep stairs, you can see a small shrine. The shrine has just been built. I felt that the wave-shaped shimenawa was unusual.
