According to the records of the local annals, this Dongyue Temple was built in the Northern Song Dynasty and in the six years (1116), and it was repaired and expanded many times during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In August 2018, as a folk museum in Xi'an, Dongyue Temple was officially opened to the public for free.
It is a stunning Xi'an Museum; even compared with the famous Shaanxi History Museum, I prefer the modern architectural design and simple display layout.
