This mountain is 2800 meters above sea level. It is said that this is the best angle to shoot the Matterhorn, but I think it is really general. The Matterhorn seen here is completely devoid of momentum and looks like a small hillside.
We didn’t get up early to watch the sunrise, nor did we go too far. Even if we took the cable car up, it was still a bit scared to look down, but we just got used to it. We were still very excited to see the white snow-capped mountains.
A very good place to view the Matterhorn. Take a gear train from the ZBAG-zsb station in Zermatt, then change to a small cable car to Blauherd to Sunnegga, and then change to a large cable car to reach the Rothorn. Not only can you see the majestic Matterhorn on the top of the mountain, but you can also see more than a dozen snow-capped mountains with posters above 4000 meters, and the scenery is very spectacular. There is also a pizza shop on the top of the mountain to solve lunch.
It takes about 5 minutes to walk from Zermatt Central Railway Station to the cable car station. It takes about 4 minutes to reach the Sunnegga station by the cable car. You can transfer to the 4-seater aerial tramway and it takes 7 minutes to reach Braucher. (Blauherd) station, but this line stopped in October, you can only hike up to see Lake 5, it takes 4 to 5 hours to go back and forth, but the Rothorn is the best place to view the Matterhorn.
Zermatt mountain train to Sunnegga, and then take the cable car to arrive, you can see the most perfect Matterhorn mountain shape. The cable car to Blauherd is the starting point of the Five Lakes trekking route. The journey takes about 4 hours and covers almost all terrains in the mountains. Stellisee must come as soon as possible, with few people and no wind, and the perfect reflection of the Matterhorn.
