🐢 A Night on the Beach Full of Sea Turtles 📍 Costa Rica 🇨🇷 | Sea Turtles 🌙 Imagine… A quiet night on the beach, with only the sound of the waves, and suddenly a large shadow slowly crawls up from the sea. 🐢🌊 This is one of the most impressive moments of wildlife viewing in Costa Rica. 🇨🇷 Why is Costa Rica so interesting? Costa Rica is an important area for sea turtles, with 5 out of the world's 7 species of sea turtles coming ashore to lay eggs on the country's coast. Areas like Tortuguero National Park are famous for sea turtle sightings, especially during nesting season. 🥚🐢 ✨ Memorable Highlights Sea turtle watching here usually takes place at night, and requires a guide or ranger in designated areas to help minimize disturbance to the mother turtles. The best part is… we don't even need to get close! 🤍 Just stand quietly at a safe distance and watch the mother turtle slowly perform her natural duty.
