Roan Mountain was one of those places that surprised me with how peaceful it felt during autumn. The mountain landscapes were surrounded by beautiful seasonal colors, and the cooler air made walking around feel refreshing. I enjoyed taking my time on the trails and stopping whenever the scenery opened up into wider views. The combination of mountain vegetation, distant ridges, and colorful forests created a very different atmosphere from a typical city autumn trip.
