Visiting Starfish Point and Rum Point is one of the most relaxing day trips in the Cayman Islands.

🚤 Begin your journey by boarding the ferry from Camana Bay to Kaibo Beach. This scenic 30–40 minute boat ride is not only the fastest way across the North Sound compared to driving around the island, but also part of the experience itself. Along the way, you’ll pass over shimmering shallow sandbanks and mangroves, all while enjoying the open-air breeze and turquoise waters.

Tickets can be booked via the Cayman Ferries app for approximately USD $35 round trip, though prices may vary slightly.

🏖 From Kaibo, Starfish Point is just a short walk or quick taxi ride away. This peaceful lagoon is home to the famous bright red and orange Caribbean starfish resting on the sandy seabed. Because the water is so shallow and crystal clear, they are often easy to spot without even swimming. It is one of the most photographed locations in the Cayman Islands.

Please remember to keep the starfish in the water at all times—lifting them out can seriously harm them.
