🚇 Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis: Tyrol’s Family Ski Paradise with a Tiny Underground Train ⛷️ — traveler post in Serfaus

🚇 Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis: Tyrol’s Family Ski Paradise with a Tiny Underground Train ⛷️

Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is one of Austria’s most beloved winter destinations. Serfaus sits on a sun-drenched plateau high above the upper Inn Valley. The ski region was formed when Serfaus teamed up with the nearby municipalities of Fiss and Ladis in 1999. The three villages are connected by 214 km of ski slopes. Skiing runs from about 3,000 m down to 1,200 m, and the area is family-focused and joyful. An easy way to get there is to fly into Innsbruck. The star attraction is the Serfaus Underground. The Dorfbahn, built in 1985 to ease traffic on narrow mountain roads, is an underground air-cushion funicular that is one of the shortest underground railways in the world. Most visitors stay in Serfaus and use it to reach the Komperdell bottom station from anywhere in town. Using it is free. It was designed to be accessible for wheelchair users and families with buggies. For kids, Murmlis Kinderalm, Murmlipark, and Bertas Kinderland together offer 125,000 m² of snow terrain where children learn to ski through play. For views, the M1 viewing platform at 2,828 m offers panoramas of the Samnaun group, the Ötztal Alps, and the high plateau. Pro tips: There is no glacier skiing here, so snow reliability depends on altitude and the season, although the pistes reach nearly 3,000 m, which gives a dependable winter season. The Dorfbahn runs from 7:45 to 19:00 in season, and on Wednesday nights it runs until midnight. For non-ski days, options include PlayIn Serfaus and the indoor arena in Fiss. Snowshoeing and ski touring are also available. Check the avalanche bulletin before going off-piste, and book ski school early in school holidays. #SerfausFissLadis #Serfaus #Tyrol #Austria #FamilySkiResort #SerfausUnderground #SkiAustria #WinterTravel #AlpineVillage #SkiHoliday #TripcomTravel #TravelAustria
