The former Amemiya residence, the Ichimura Memorial Hall, the Karuizawa Folk Museum, and the Municipal Library are lined up in Riyama Park. The building of the Ichimura Memorial Hall was used by Mr. Fumihiro Konoe, who served as Prime Minister, as a villa. Later, in 1932, it was owned by Mr. Ichimura Imasazo. It is a fashionable Western-style building, and the interior seems to be a mixture of Japanese and Western styles. The walk in the vast garden was pleasant.
