The manor is located on the right bank of the Moskva River, covering an area of 390 hectares, with a panoramic view of the picturesque local scenery. In the 14th century, Karominskaya Manor began to become the Tsar's summer residence, and in 1532, the church manor was built. The cathedral built in the same year is the oldest building in this church manor. It is a stone tower-shaped building with a conical top. The "Golden Age" of Kalominskoya Manor was in the middle of the 17th century, when a beautiful building, the wooden palace, was built here. The palace has 270 rooms and 3,000 windows. Known as the "eighth wonder of the world". This is also the origin of the manor known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". Other main buildings in the manor are: "John the Baptist Dome Cathedral" built in 1555-1561; "St. George's Bell Tower" built in the 16th century in Western European style; "Kazan Cathedral of Our Lady" built in 1649-1653 ; "Water Tower" built in 1670; "Red Gate" built in 1672-1673; "Wooden Gate Tower" built in 1691-1692. It was here that Peter I spent his childhood. He likes boat building very much. When he was a child, he built a small boat by himself on the nearby Moscow River. A "Peter's Cottage" can still be seen in the manor. The park in the manor is very beautiful: in summer, there are towering old trees and fragrant orchards here. In the evening, open-air singing and dancing parties are often held, and you can take a speedboat to swim the Moscow River. In autumn, after the fruit trees are mature, people are allowed to pick them at will. Many local old ladies pick them back, make jam, and taste them slowly. In winter, the ancient pagoda is covered with snow, and many people come here for skiing and skating. Various musicals are often staged here, and folk festivals and garden activities are held here. All of this has deeply attracted local residents and tourists from all over the world.
