Bugaoli was built in 1930. It is an old-fashioned stone warehouse house with brick and wood structure, red brick exterior wall and two floors. There are 79 houses in it. It is a well-preserved integral building in Shanghai. In 1930, Bugaoli was invested and constructed by French businessmen. It was designed and constructed by China Construction Real Estate Company. The entrance of the langtangkou is marked in Chinese and French. Ba Jin, Zhang Chenbo, Ping Hailan and other famous people have lived here successively. In 1989, Bugaoli was listed as a cultural relic protection unit at Shanghai level.
