The castle was first built by Charles, the third Earl of Carlisle, who commissioned John van Buller to design and build this luxurious Baroque Howard castle in North Yorkshire after being sealed in 1692. In front of the castle is an English garden, with arched windows covered with neat and fine window edges, and a huge arched alcove with exquisite statues, which reflect the Baroque style together with the dome. Enter the main entrance, on both sides are the antique corridors in the castle, which houses many antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries.
