Makalu Peak is located in the middle of the Himalayas, 87 °06′ east longitude, 27 °54′ north latitude, and it is24 kilometers from Everest in the northwest. It is bounded along the ridge of the northwest and southeast of the northwest. It is in Tibet, China, and Nepal. The peak is covered with thick ice and snow all year round, and there are huge glaciers in the slope valley. There are many huge ice cracks like abyss on the glacier, and ice avalanches are very frequent. 9 members of the French mountaineering team climbed the peak for the first time in1955.
