There is a pagoda in the temple to preserve the ashes of Princess Sukara. In the late 16th century, the princess married the King of Myanmar and was a minor wife. During the war between Thailand and Myanmar, she died as a spy for her country. To commemorate her bravery and loyalty, Thais built another temple for her in Nanhu Temple.
