Magical and peaceful
Magical and very peaceful woods with beautiful views. The kids really loved exploring them on a sunny Saturday in January.
Stunning autumnal woodland walks.
Stunning autumnal woodland close to Helm Crag and Easdale Tarn and walked from the door of the unique Lancrigg hotel.
Beautiful little jewel
A short but etheral woodland walk, taking you to the base of Helm Cragg. Easy to imagine how they had been enjoyed and then enhanced during days of the Wordsworths.
Worth a visit if you are in the area
Interesting woodland that was perhaps once planted as an Arboretum so look out for massive specimen trees such as Wellingtonia Monkey Puzzle etc. Interesting paths but all overgrown and a bit unloved...

Away the hurly burly of the village, with some lovely walks, and you can even use the hotel for drinks, snacks, etc
