I visited on a tour. The black lava is rugged and partly flat sideways. That's why it's called Senjojiki. There is also a layered part.

I went by bicycle. The road by the sea is quite comfortable. There is a toilet and a covered place for breaks nearby, which is perfect for a break on the cycling course. I could see Hachijo Kojima well. There are black lava rocks around and I can go to the sea, but I slipped with sneakers. If you are traveling with children, it may be dangerous to go to the sea. There is no way especially to touch the sea

Access by rental car. The parking spot is wide. You can see Hachijo Kojima from a fairly wide flat rocky area. There was a fairly strong wind when I visited. There are statues of Hideie Ukita and Gohime.
