Tanghe Scenic Spot is a comprehensive tourist area with Tanghe Reservoir as the main body, consisting of more than ten natural and artificial scenic spots. The total area is 60.5 square kilometers. Liaoning Province was listed as a provincial scenic spot in 1983. The scenic spot is located in Tanghe Township, Gongchangling District, southeast of Liaoyang City, 39 kilometers away from the urban area. The center of the scenic spot is located at 123 176; 27 north latitude 41 05 and the rest of Qianshan runs through the scenic spot. The famous peaks are Longshan, Fenghuangshan and Chengxiangshan. The main peak of Longshan is 390 meters above sea level. The climate here is suitable, with an average annual temperature of 8.2 &C. There are three asphalt roads directly to the scenic spot. The west route is 15 kilometers from Miaoertai, the gateway of Qianshan scenic spot, to the southern end of the scenic spot (the South Bank of the reservoir). The northern part of the scenic spot is 7.5 kilometers away from Ping'an Station of Liaoxi Railway.
