iD Town

Yixiang iDTOWN is positioned as an "international art district" in Shenzhen, integrating complex creative cultural functions such as "creative design, international art exchanges, master workshops, education and training, fashion publishing, and leisure tourism". Yixiang iDTOWN International Art District was born out of Shenzhen's industrial architectural heritage in the late 1980s. It consists of 19 printing and dyeing factories and office buildings of various shapes and sizes. The architectural style is mostly 12-meter-high factory buildings, and the interior space is spacious and bright, with a strong artistic shaping space. Manjinghua Art Museum is located in Building 1 of the Art District, which was originally the finishing workshop of Honghua Printing and Dyeing Factory. Not touching any original building structure is the core spirit of the museum's renovation, which makes the "new-old" buildings coexist and depend on each other. The total construction area is 3,600 square meters, and a large area of semi-indoor space is set up on the first floor, which not only ensures the smoothness of the old factory building and the new art museum, but also provides a lot of public activity space. The second floor makes full use of the skylights of the old building to provide unique natural lighting conditions for various exhibitions to create a professional art space.
