Wu Xiaobang was born in Shaxi Town, Taicang, in 1906. He was rich in his small family. After going to Japan to study, he fell in love with dance, studied ballet and modern dance. After returning home, he attached importance to absorbing the essence of national culture and became a pioneer of modern Chinese dance. He opened Xiaobang Dance Art Center in his hometown.
Wu Xiaobang was born in Taicang Shaxi in 1906. He went to Japan to study ballet and modern dance in his early years. He was a pioneer of Chinese new dance art. After the outbreak of the war, he used dance to awaken the Chinese people's anti-Japanese will. The people of his hometown created a dance center in memory of him.
