A highway that runs through the old castle town of Matsusaka toward Ise Jingu. Matsusaka was a castle town and prospered as a post town. There were wealthy merchants lined up along the highway, such as the birthplace of the Mitsui family. There are still some large mansions left.

If you turn right on Ekimae-dori and walk along the Matsusaka Highway, the shape of the road suddenly changes unnaturally. It narrows from asphalt pavement.
